Palace Topkapi- palace situated in the eastern part of Constantinople. Main place of TV show Muhteşem Yüzyıl. Palace Topkapi was filed by the Ottomans in 1465. It became the residence of the Sultan Mehmed II the Conqueror. In 1520 the palace was the reign of Sultan Suleiman. It's here the action happens on the TV show Muhteşem Yüzyıl. This palace was the residence of Suleiman until his death in 1566, then it becomes the residence of Selim II Drunkard. Later sultans also used the palace as the seat.The last sultan having its registered office there was Mahmud II (until 1839). Sultan Abdülmecid moved the seat of the rulers of the Dolmabahçe Palace. For Orta Kapı (Gate Central) is the second courtyard. Gate built in 1524 Suleiman the Magnificent, who hired architects in the construction of the conquered Hungary. The third courtyard of Topkapı Palace was the private courtyard of the Sultan.To enter, you had to go through a so-called Gate of Happiness.
