Edward Christopher "Ed" Sheeran is 25 years old and he lives in London. He is a british vocalist, songwriter and producer. He can also play guitar. His music type is pop, folk and acoustic. He is an active singer since 2005.
When he was a young boy he wrote his first songs. On the 29th of October 2011 anglo-irish boy band One Direction recorded song 'Little Things' written by Ed, who wrote at the age of 16. Since 2009 to 2011 he's made thirteen extended plays: The orange room, Ed Sheeran, Want some?, You Need Me, Loose Change, Songs I wrote with Amy, Live at the Bedford, No. 5 Collaborations Project, One Take EP, iTunes Festival: London 2011 Performance EP, Thank You EP, The Slumdon Bridge and iTunes Festival: London 2012 Performance EP. The last three he recorded in collaboration with the label Asylum/Atlantic Records. His single 'The A Team' debuted on the third place of the British charts and received an award called Ivor Novello Awards. His album '+' won status fourfold platinium disc. In 2012 Ed won two BRIT awards in categories Best artist and Best breakthrough performer. In 2013 Sheeran wrote and sang a song promoting film The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. In 2014 he released a new album x and in August he went on tour.
