United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
The United Kingdom consists of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The UK is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, North Sea, English Channel on the south. The United Kingdom is a well developed country. The area covers 243,610 km[2]. 64 100 000 people live there.
The head state of the UK is Queen Elizabeth II. Its capital city is London, an important global city and second-largest urban area in Europe. In the UK there is a lot of very good universities like University of Oxford, University College London, King’s College.
A lot of scientists, inventors, Nobel Prize laureates, writers, actors are from UK.
