K-pop

Kpop is just Korean music, but if you want to understand it you should start listening (and watching) it. Kpop is a type of music that is fun and addicting. It can be defined as a specific genre with a basic set of rules. And, like any genre, there are so many artists who routinely break these rules. It's electronic, hip hop, pop, rock, and R&B music originating in South Korea.

In addition to music, K-pop has grown into a popular subculture among teenagers and young adults throughout Asia, resulting in widespread interest in the fashion and style of Korean idol groups and singers. Nowadays Korean music is really popular.

One of the things K Pop does so well is creative use of costumes and color in music videos. It is also well known for its unique, extravagant, and eye-popping personalities. K Pop stars, or “idols” as they are usually known in Asia, have a knack for truly standing out from the crowd and taking self expression to a new level.

Za Niebieskimi Drzwiami

 Hello again !

Today I'm going to write about a new Polish film in the cinema. The title is ''Za Niebieskimi Drzwiami''. The film is for the teenagers. It's was directed by Mariusz Palej. The film tells a story about  what happens, when you close your eyes and fall asleep. Magical doors lead into the world of ''in a dream''. So real, that you can live, so exciting, that wants to explore it and so myslerious that it scared.

Korean Hallyu

The Korean Hallyu... what is it?

Hallyu is no longer just popular Korean culture. “Hallyu”, which is a commonly used term meaning “Korean cultural wave”, was originated by journalists who were surprised at the speed of the fast-growing popularity of Korean entertainment and culture. Hallyu includes K-pop, TV dramas, movies, and lifestyle with Korea’s high technology and also means the growing aspiration of people to know more about Korean culture worldwide.

Today, the popularity of Hallyu is everywhere and is mainly led by TV dramas and K-pop. Korean dramas were really popular among Asian countries, but now people from the whole world watch them. We can see Korean actors not only in Asian movies. K-pop stars are also one of the biggest reasons of Hallyu.

Nowadays many Korean culture buffs are starting to learn hangul, the Korean language. Hallyu continues to expand its fan base, going beyond Asia to capture the hearts of people all over the world.

It will go beyond movies, dramas, and pop music to art, history, and in-depth cultural exchanges. A richer and fuller Hallyu is coming your way.

In my next post I want to focus on Korean music because it is a well known thing.

Learning Korean

Learning Korean isn't really complex thing. This language is one of the easiest Asian languages. You can learn hangul by yourself and it's quite easy, but later it becomes harder.
There are many helps in Internet nowadays. For example:

http://www.howtostudykorean.com/

This website is not designed just to help you to learn how to speak Korean. Rather, it is designed to teach you how to speak Korean – plain and simple – from your very first steps all the way to being able to speak Korean fluently. I'm exploinig this web and it lets us understand Korean.
I know some books which can assist to. These are some titles:

- Korean for Begginners: Mastering Conversational Korean
- Elementary Korean
- Sogang Korean
- Korean Grammar in Use
- Ehwa

Some of those books are cheaper and some are more expensive. They differentiate their prices and contents, but I think all are really helpful.
But learning language isn't only theory. You need to speak in this language and practice yourself. As a beginner, having a Korean conversation partner/friend who speaks near-fluent English is helpful, since they will be able to answer your language questions in a way you can more easily understand.

In next post I'll tell you about the Korean Wave.
