Hello everybody !
Today I'm gonna tell you a story of G36 and rifles based on it.

History:
In the first half of 70's german army was using G3 as the primary rifle. It was a good weapon , but also it was too heavy. In this time , rifles with 5.56x45mm (G36) caliber were more popular than 7.62x51mm (G3). Project has started and meanwhile HK (Heckler & Koch) bankrupted. Then it was bought by BAe Systems. In 1990 project was reactivated and Ernst Mauch took leadership over it. He had a task to build cheap carabine as good as other , much more expansive HK constructions. And then he made G36. It's production cost was about 800$ ,and that was pretty good price for it.With it to german army was added G36K and MG36.Now we have more of these types:
G36E (It's the export version of G36 , with other sights)

G36K (It has shorter barell)

G36C (Compact version , you saw it on the photo while i was introducing myself)
