Storm on the sea

Hello everyone!

I’m going to tell you about the most terrifying part of my cruise.

On the North Sea , exactly on the way from Norway to Belgium suddenly there was a storm and huge waves. I was sleeping when the alarm rang. In 2 min I was on the deck. It was extremely cold. Everybody was really frightened .It took a few moments before I came to my senses and realized what was happening.  Water was all over the deck and the dark sky was lit up by lightning. The ship was alist and almost touched water with mast. Everything was in salt , including my hair , clothes and skin. I thought that everybody will run scared but unexpectedly all of us was trying to hold it together. Maybe it was responsibility, maybe only trying to survive , but it worked. Our job was to follow captain’s orders and nothing else matters in storm. When it finally passed by the morning came, so it was another sleepless night on Fryderyk Chopin.

The spirit of Norway

Hi guys!

Good news - On the horizon we saw land. It was Stavanger. If anybody wants to feel real spirit of Norway – it’s the best place. It looked exactly as I imagined. Small white houses and mountains all over the region. 

We were lucky because the weather was amazing and our plan was to climb on Preikestolen. Norway’s beautiful fjords are the things of legends! It was worth climbing 604 meters  up high for that breathtaking view.  We took a lot of photos!

 

Except fjords we visit only The Petroleum Museum. In my free time I was walking a lot, sightseeing and , of course, went to every single souvenir shop in the area.

In Stavanger we spent 4 days . It was definitely too short. Norway is one of the place witch I want to come back the most. Everything was so beautiful and I couldn't take my eyes off it. When we were sailing away from port , I knew , that it's not my last time there. 

I had to focus on a ship , becouse before us there were 2 weeks of saling without any land.

Just another day on a ship

Hello everybody!

I'm going to continue my story , so ...We left  seaport  in Goteborg  in the Morning. Sea was calm and the weather was great.  The wind was blowing  in the sails.

That day it was again my turn to help in the kitchen.  This time my mission was making pancakes. I had to make over 200 of them all alone for all the crew.  It lasted about 3 hours. Preparing meals was one of the most important things on a ship. Even though it was hard work I was happy to help in kitchen because I really wanted to learn cooking as well as Mrs. Krysia - our cooker.

Next day of cruise we spent on working with bosun.  First thing in the morning -  everybody got some task. Someone was painting the ship or cleaning the deck , another one was patching the sails. We didn’t even notice when the evening came.  

We really needed to relax so we organized an evening with shanties.  I’ll never forget  sound of the guitar under the starlight.

Seaport in Göteborg

Hi guys!

It ‘s time for next part of  Fryderyk Chopin’s journey . From Copenhagen we salied straight to Göteborg.  It was  four-day cruise without any surprises.

Even the weather was pretty fine.  We were headed for north , so we expected that it’s going to cool down soon.  Scandinavian has its own unique climate.  

With every single day our crew was becoming a family. Our relations was so strong  maybe because we spent all free time together or because there wasn’t  the Internet or social medias on the sea . There wasn’t even any signal so our mobile phones were useless.

When we arrived to Sweden it was night so we only moored and went to sleep.  In Göteborg we spent  5 days] It was extremely short  5 days.  We were spending all our free time , between watches on the ship and helping bosun , in the city.  Göteborg is bigger than my home city – Szczecin, and o course we couldn’t  visit everything but we weren’t wasting our time.  On the ship we were at the earliest at midnight. 

 

With a little of sadness we left  Göteborg behind. Next destination – Norway!

A Walk to Remember

Hello!

At first I want to tell you that all of films based on  Nicholas Sparks books are amazing and please don't get offended at me because I share with you mostly his work. Of course I recommend book in the same title, too.

Landon (Shane West) is a popular, selfish, handsome and reckless teenage. As part of the fun he ordered one of younger guy to jump into the pool to join his package. Unfortunately it didn't end well. Head teacher as a punishment told him to perform in theatrical art. There he met helpful, calm, modest, hard-working Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore). Before they get to known each other better Landon with his pack of friends were made fun of Jamie. He quickly realized that he loved her.

Earlier I didn't like this film but while I watched this second time with my mom in TV I conviced myself to this.

Hi!

This film is another story wrote by Nicholas Sparks in the same name.

A marine soldier Logan Thibault (Zac Efron) found in a battlefield photo with a women and this helped him survive. He repeated himself that she is his angel. After that, Logan decided to found 'his angel'. Soon he appeared in her house and take a job in shelter.  It turns out that Beth (Taylor Schilling) have a husband and son but it's not so simple. Her relationship with her husband is complicated. Logan and Beth make friends and over time it turns in to something bigger. Will this knowladge change in to something bigger?

I warmly recommend it!

The Vow

Hello!

Today I will tell you about film which was based on a authentic story wrote by Krickitt Carpenter. He describe his own story in a book "The Vow".

Young marriage Paige (Rachel McAdams) with  Leo (Channing Tatum) separated car accident, during Paige lost her memory. Leo will do everything to make her fell in love with him again. On his way were many obstacles but his love to her has never disappear. Leo tries to recreate their firs date, first kiss and most of their memories. Is Vow "I will not leave you" don't lose power?

I honestly recommend that and I hope thtat you will like this film.

Jersey Girl

Hello everybody!

Ollie Trinke (Ben Affleck) was the happiest man in the world, he had good job, pretty wife and had a child who will be born in a moment. Everything was ruined while his wife died during childbirth. He didn't gave up because he had to life for- his little daughter. Because he tried to be the best dad in the world, he lost his job but it dosn't broke him down. Young father moved to his dad's house and stared a new job: street cleaner which doesn't satisfy him at all. But this story can't by so sad- one day in rental of videocassettes he met Maya (Liv Tyler) and from this moment his live begun to take on colours.

I truly recommend this film. Except sad threads there are a lot of hilarious dialogues.

Tuatra.#17

This is a kid of reptile from the hatteriaceae  family from the australia. This animal is very simillar to a lizard. Tuatra is the evolutionary phenomon on of lizard and snake.

This animal has a green-brown skin. This animal is about 60 centimeter long. This animal has spiked comb on the back. Tuatra has a strong teeth. This animal has dark bulging eyes. It despite the lack of ears can hear. Tuatra has strong and long tail. These animals are refeered to as living fossis.

This animal is an endengered species. Adult hiterrias are land and night animals but they often bask in the sun. Young hide under trunks and stones and are active during the day. This animal achieves adulthood after two of three years and spawns very slowly.

Ocellaris Clownfish.#16

This is atractivelly colored sea fish from the Punjab family. This fish counted among clownfish. Ocellaris Clownfish is often grown in domestic aquariums.

It has a orange body with three white stripes with black edges. The middle strap is in the shape of a triangle. It is 9-11 centimeter long. This fish lives in symbiosis with the sea anemone. Symbiosis with an anemone benefits both sides becouse they protect each other.

Clownfish live individually, in pairs on in groups. These fish  have famele and male organs but first they function as male specimens.

It eats plankton and also have sea bottoms. Sometimes they bite the dead tentacles as well. Spawning lests 27 says. Famele lays up to 10 000-25 000 roe grains that the male is taking care of.

Easter recipe - salad

Hello !

 Here I give you recipe for salad which is ideal to deviled eggs that we made recently. I hope that you curious about this dishes taste. Let's celebrate easter with tasty meals. 

Spring salad with homemade ranch

Ingredients:

- 250 g fresh packed mix salad 

-  chopped carrots , onions, red peppers, cabage, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes

- if you like add a little bit of protein for example : cooked chicken, white beans or lentils.

- for seasoning add pits and sunflower or hemp nuts. Nuts also are a great topping

Dressing:

- 1 cup light mayonnaise 

-1/2 cup greek yougurt

- 3 tablespoons olive oil

- 1 tablespoon garlic powder

-  a little bit of parsley, chives, dill

- crumped ground black pepper

Making:

Chopped a little bit your salad, add carrots, sliced onions, cabage, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and the proteins.

take the pan and toast the nuts and top with it salad. 

To make this dressing add everything  into gravy boat and then mix it all together. Serve salad  with deviled eggs and sauce.

Easter recipe - eggs

 The spring is coming so this is the time for making special dishes like easter eggs. Here I give you one of many variants with this product.

1. Deviled Eggs with Bacon and Chives

Ingredients:

- hard boiled eggs 

- 1 tablespoon mustard Dijon

- 1- 2 tablespoon lemon juice

- salt and black pepper to taste

-  1 table spoons garlice olive oil

-  2 tablespoons of : crumbled cooked backon, snipped chieves, sliced olives, chopped roasted red peppers

Making:

Peel softly every eggs, and cut them into halves. Then add egg yolks into mixing bowl. Add mustard, olive oils, lemon juice, salt and pepper to egg yolks. Mash with fork until creamy. If needed, add water to thin, one teaspoon at a time. Taste and adjust seasonings. Fill egg whites with yolk mixture and top generously with backon, chieves, olives and peppers. 

If you like serve eggs till they are warm or cold from fridge. They also taste good with a fresh salad. Like this which recipe for I'm writing in next post. So stay here. :)

Australian Dingo.#15

This is a mammal living in Australia and New Gwinea. Dingo is an animal from dogs family. It is very similar to a domestic dog. It can have Offsprings with home dogs. It has a wild dog and what is so interesting it can't bark. Dingo's skull is differently built. This dog has light ginger-orange fur. Its paws are quite long and thin with white ending. This dog has black nose and dark brown eyes.

This dog lives about 14 years. This animal weights about 10-24 kilograms. It is 86-122 centimeter long. Dingo is 44-63 centimeters hight. Young dogs are born after about 9 weeks hidden depp in burrows.

This dog is carnivorous becouse it eats small mammals, lizards and kangaroos. It hunts at night in a head or alone. When they lack food they eat birds' eggs, insect larvae and water birds.
