My adventure with powerlifting #3 \ Last post

Good Morning! This is the last post, because the school year is ending and I’ll graduate. Now I’m going to tell you about testing my rep maxes. My goal was 140kg squat, 150 kg deadlift and 110kg bench press. Unfortunately I had a plateau. So I did only 130kg squat, 135kg deadlift and 97,5kg bench press. National record in squat in my category is 190kg. I’ll continue my powerlifting adventure. In summer I’ll work at the beach for a month, so I’ll have a break. Now I want to make of time  as I can. In the end of June I’ll test my maxes again. Then when I come back I’ll try linear periodization. That mean I start with light weight and high repetitions and end with heavy weights and low repetitions. I hope that I’ll have no plateau quickly. When my weights will be higher I’ll compete. Thank you for reading my posts.

Take care!

It was just like a movie..

Hello everyone!

Next step in my islands adventure was Tenerife. It’s one of the biggest islands in whole archipelago and what’s going whit it- one of the most beautiful as regards nature and climate. We got there in the evening and  we spent there another two days. The weather was still amazing as befits tropical countries.

Tenerife associated with lots of nature for me.  We were on a day trip in outstanding National Park. As always it couldn’t go without surprises. When we were driving up volcano , our bus broke down. It didn’t stop us from having amazing time. View was breathtaking and everybody started to taking photos.

We left Tenerife and sailed straight to Gran Canaria. When we were again on the open sea we saw dolphins! I felt just like in a movie.

Despite it , thought about going back home and ending of the forthcoming ending of adventure of my life was making me more and more sad.. Nothing lasts forever but I wanted it to.

I must go now. Till next time guys !

Captain, islands on the horizon!

Hi guys!

When finally on the horizon there were Canary Islands, mood in our group has changed. On the one hand we were happy that we finally reached our destination ,but on the other hand everybody became sad. We knew that soon our adventure is going to end. Despite it ,we wanted to do more with time that we had.

Before us there was still about a week on Canary Islands. First Island we visited La Gomera.  The capitol city- San Sebastian- was great. Completely different world- different climate, nature , buildings and even different people. We spent there 2 days, a bit short in my opinion, but it was enough for having fun. As always we went sightseeing and exploring new place. The weather was great for us.

In the evening we decided to organize some party in our marina. When the music was playing and we were dancing, some people we didn’t know, joined us and whole port was having fun together. It was unforgettable! With a bit sadness we left La Gomera behind.

Till next time!

Portugal again

Hello everyone!

It’s time for next part of my cruise. From Cascais we sailed straight to Albufeira, so we were still in Portugal. I fell in love with that country.

We were standing there only a few hours. It was a pity, because we didn’t have much time to walking around and going sightseeing.  Fortunately , I had a time to do some shopping , take pictures and, what was the best, swim in the ocean again.

Fryderyk Chopin’s next destination were Canary Islands.  Expected time on the sea was about week, but the wind wasn’t favorable to us. We weren’t almost moving, so our captain made the best possible decision.  We stopped off at anchor and spent whole day on swimming and sunbathing. Jumping from the ship to the ocean is one of my best memories from the cruise.  I regret that it didn’t last longer. Wish, I could do this again.

That’s all for now. Bye guys!

Week in Portugal

Hi guys !

After a few days of sailing , we stopped in Cascais.  It’s kind of small city in Portugal. Not really small , but smaller than Szczecin.

Our port is located near to the capital of the country we were visiting. I’m talking about Lisbon, of course. We couldn’t waste an opportunity like that , so we went to a day trip. We weren’t regret that for even a moment.  Lisbon equals a lot of walking  - a lot of walking uphill- but it was worth it. It was one of the most memorable places  I visited on the cruise. Narrow streets , old street cars , hills and outstanding views – that’s Lisbon in few worlds.

Cascais was amazing, too. The most I remember , that it was there , where I swam in the ocean for the first time. We went to the beach , a whole group, and without thinking for even a second everybody run strait to the water. We spent  almost whole free time on sunbathing and swimming. Cascais as a city is really beautiful. The spirit , the sun and the ocean – amazing. I wish , someday I’ll be there again.

That’s all for today. Till next time!

Ahoy Spain!

Hi guys!

On the horizon there was Spain. Everybody was waiting for that. After Scandinavia and North Sea , a little sun and high temperature was like a dream.

When we stop in the port , we ceremonially sang a shanty called ‘Spanish Ladies’. Some people on the street started to recording it and taking photos of us. It was kind of funny , that we were like swimming tourist attraction.

The climate , atmosphere and spirit of Spain is outstanding. I was there two times before but I was extremely happy that I could visit that place once again. I love tropical countries. Palms, sun and ocean –  how could anyone ask for more ?

Our first Spanish port was La Coruna by the Atlantic Ocean. It was a bit too cold to swam in the ocean, but we had a great time in different ways.

Course to the south and see you soon !
