Geisha
- Japanese woman with artistic skills, she
can
dancing, singing and playing instruments(on the shamisen, koto,
shakuhachi). She
can
lead ceremonies brewing and drinking tea. She
is
dressed in traditional costume. Before woman
become
geisha, she
must wait six years and be a maiko.
The tradition of the geisha is derived from the male-jesters
taiko-mochi. The

Later womens join to this profession. Currently, geisha are only
women.
They also learn good manners, they learn about literature and poems. In Yoshiwarze and other districts of love geishas they were strictly separated from prostitutes. They must stay in clear spirit and be only a company for men, nothing more.
