It's history goes back to 1949. The ancestor of today, however, the club was founded in 1962. Gornik Jastrzebski, later renamed for Gornik Jas-Mos. Always associated with mining the club from year to year to grow. Since 1974. The club was called GKS Jastrzebski, then after the division of a multiple club KS Jastrzebski Borynia, finally, since 2004. Operates under the present name Jastrzebski Wegiel. In 1971. It won his first competition at the district and fought for promotion to the second league. Art promotion at the central level went up, however, only in 1979.

The mission of the Sports Club Jastrzebski Wegiel is the development and promotion of volleyball in the region and throughout the country, both by striving for the highest level of the sports club teams.

2009/2010 season was fantastic for team. Jastrzebski Wegiel won it for the first time Polish Cup after a dramatic final against Asseco Resovia, as well as another vice Polish. These recent successes won under the guidance of Italian coach Roberto Santillego !
