7Tp

Hello everyone !

Today I'm going to tell you something about a Polish tank , from the beginning of WWII. Of course I'm talking about 7TP. Take a look :
History:
In 1932 Vickers Armstrong delivered 50 Vickers E tanks. Poles weren't satisfied with their new tanks , straight form England , and started research on their own Tank. In 1934 first prototype was ready for field tests. In 1935 serial production of 7TP started. In 1937 Engineers made version with tank canon wz.1937 and mg wz.1930. In 1935-39 they built 132 tanks. 24 with twin turrets and machineguns in them , and 108 with 37mm canon. Twin turret tanks were made into canon versions after considering them non-progresive. In 1939 they were main battle tanks of Poland. First tanks were made with some parts of those Vickers E tanks. When Germany invaded Poland , german panzers hadn't any chances in 1v1 situation. The problem is : you need 1v1 situation. There were too many panzers. When Poland had only 132 tanks , Germany had 1190. It was 1v10 , so germans won.

Technical thingies:
Serial produciton: 1935 - 1939
Amount: 132
Lenght: 4.54m
Weight: 9.400 (Twin turrets) , 9.900 (One turret)
Max speed: 37km/h
Weponary : Two machinguns wz 1930 ( Twin turrets) , 37mm canon wz 1937 and machinegun wz 1930 (One turret)
Crew : 3
Max range 160km (On the road) , 130(On the field)
So , I think this is it.My time in this school ends in two weeks. I have orders from my boss (Who is my teacher by the way) that I have to stop writing those posts for you. I hope you enjoyed reading them (Expect for little grammar issues). I think I'll be missing that.

See ya never again !

PTRD

Hi there !

Today I'm going to tell you about an anti-tank rifle. Yup , you hear or rather read well. It was made by russians, ok? It worked , but idea is pretty crazy. Here's a photo:
History:
After soviet army made some new canons , tey wanted to support them with light anti-tank rifles. And then Boom , you've got PTRD and PTRS. There are only few differences , you can see them on the photo below. It was heavy and very long. Too long for one soldier , so crew counted 2 of them. Suprised?
Technical thingies:
Serial production : 1941-45
Caliber : 14.5x114mm
Lenght : 2000mm
Weight: 16 kg
Bullet speed : 1020m/s

So , that's all for this post , I hope you like it !

SD.KFZ.234

Hi there !

Today I'm going to show you one of german armoured vehicles from WWII. I don't know why germans love to call their tanks like cats , this one is named Puma , SD.KFZ.234 PUMA. Take this :
History:
It was made as infantry support vehicle , armed with 20 mm auto canon , but later germans wanted to destroy allied light tanks , and have some distance between their vehicle and an allied vehicle. As you see on the photo , they gave it 50mm canon. Puma was one of the fastest vehicles of WWII.
Technical thingies:
Prototypes : 1943
Serial production : 1943-45

The most Hammerican gun ever

Hi everybody !
Today I'm going to talk about The most Hammerican gun ever. Of course it's famous half inch mg named like this not working american tank , yup , I'm talking about M2 Browning. It's in service since 1932 so I think it's a good construction. Take a look :
History:
USA joined the WW1 almost without machineguns. Colt made one in 1918 , but nobody was intressed in M1921. Only navy and air service bought some (Navy bought version coolled by water(M1924) and the air service bought the version coolled by the air (M1921)). In 1932 colt wanted to cut production cost so he developed M2. They were and are used in air , navy , armoured forces and infantry. Also it had QBC system (quick barell change) system. Later it was modified and the weight has been reduced to 27kg. It's used everywhere where you need machinegun. It's mounted on vehicles since ever m, little comparison :
            Willys , WW2
           Humvee , present

Also , it's often used as a dual machinegun , usually on ships :
Technical thingies :
Production start : 1932
Weight: 38 kg
Lenght: 1650mm
Barell lenght: 1140mm
Caliber : 0.5 inch
Theoretical fire rate: 550 rds/min
Bullet speed : 858m/s
max range : 4000 m
As you see it's pretty big , also it shoots with very big bullets , but I can't find good picture for ammo.
So , in my posts in this month , I didn't give you any video , so here you go :
So that's all for today (yeah , ammo is on the video) , I hope you enjoyed it , and see you next time !

Mi 2

Hi there !

In this post you are going to read about Mi 2. Basicly it is recon helicopter made in early 60's in USSR. It's still in use in some countries such as Poland or Ukraine. It's the only russian helicopter never made in USSR. Currently they are made in WSK Świdnik in Poland. Here's a photo :
History:
As I said on the beginning . MI2 was developed to replace MI1. It was created in early 60's , but it's still in use. On 22.09.1961 the first flight took place. On the spring in 1962 one of the prototypes was used to replace a biplane. On 25.09.1962 it made world's helicopter speed record (253.8 km/g). Polish engineers made their own version of this helicopter and named it MI2 Gniewosz. It was armed in air-ground missiles , two 23mm canons and Anti-aircraft rockets as well.
Technical thingies :
Year of serial production start : 1965
Top speed: 210 km/h
Weight:2375 kg
Lenght: 17.42m
Range: 270 km , 600 with additional fuel tanks
It 's a good helicopter , and it is used in many ways today

Sturmvogel / Schwable (Me262)

Hi everybody !
In this post I'm going to tell you something about Schwable. It was one of the first jet planes ever created. Take a look :
History :
In 1938 III Reich wanted Messerschmidtt to build a plane , which is powered by BMW gas turbines. First prototype was created before engines were ready , so it used standard engines with proppelers.
Second prototype took flight on 25 march 1942. On 18 march 1945 only 37 Me262 stopped allied bombing expedition which counted : 1221 bombers , and 632 escort fighters. They shot down 12 bombers and one fighter losing only 3 planes. They couldn't fight in circles , because allied figters were more agile than Sturmvogel.
Technical thingies:
Year of serial production beginning: 1944
Weponary: 4 30mm canonons
Top speed : 872km/h
Weight: 3795 kg

Me262 was the first jet fighter ever created. It was very effective , but use a way too much fuel.

Hitler's saw

Hi there !

Today , I'm going to tell you about MG42. Here's a photo :
History:
It was the most popular Machine gun in german army. MG42 was created to replace MG34 , because MG34 was too complicated and too expansive. MG42 cooling system was powered by air , so it was very effective. Also , if it's the barell was too hot , you could change barrel in 20 seconds. You know what they did on Omaha beach. Allied forces named it "Hitler's saw" , because it could totally dacapitate soldier due to it's fire rate.
 Technical thingies:
Year of serial production begining : 1941 - 45
Weight: 11.6 kg
Lenght: 1230 mm
Caliber : 7x92
Fire rate : 1500 rounds per minuete

It was very effective gun , and allies hated this gun.

M4 sherman

Hi everbody !

Today I'm gonna talk about some american equipment. More precisely I'm going to tell you about M4 sherman. It's a tank straight from USA. It was made in WWII and serves to this day on the middle east. More info below.
History of construction :
Americans needed to replace pretty bad construction which was M3 Lee. In 1942 they started production. Companies like Pressed stell , Lima locomotive company , Chrysler , American locomotive , Baldwin locomotive and Pullman standard were involved in it's produciton. It was main allied tank. I t was developed as a infantry support tank , but after time it recived some upgrades like Sherman Firefly , M4A1 , M4A2,M4A3 HVSS with 105 mm canon and a lot more , even Kangaroo which was an infantry transporter (M4 without turret , used by those tea guys). In Israel they mad M51 SuperSherman. It is on the photo below. M4 was used Everywhere where american troops were deployed , even on D-day. Also it received An upgrade that made this tank an mobile rocket artillery battery with 60 rockets on the board , armour and it still could use it's canon , also down below.

Techincal thingies:
Year of serial produciton begining : 1942
Tanks made : 49 000 (Every version included)
Armor : 51mm on the front , 38mm on the sides and 38mm on the back
Weponary: 75mm canon , 0.5 cal machingun on the rooftop , and two smaller sisters of the big roof guy with 7.92 ammo.
Top speed: 39 km/h
Range: 160 Km

I think it was a good consturcion , its production ended in 1945 and there were 49000 tanks made. It was cheap , and it was doing it's work on the battlefield , it wasn't the bust but it wasn't the worst of all tanks (Ekhem italian tanks ekhem)

M3 Grease Gun

Hi everybody !

Today I'm going to talk about cheaper counterpart of M1928 Thompson. It was made for budget production and it had to shoot with automatic fire. It was based on MP40. Of course (Like in the title) I'm talking about M3 machine pistol , also known as Grese gun . Catch !
History of the gun :
When Americans saw british STEN maschine pistol or MP40 , they thaught "Hey , we need something like that , because thompson i too expansive!" . Then they started reserch on a new , as basic as possible , gun. In 1942 field tests took place and in 1943 it was added to american troops armory. It was far more accurate but it had slower fire rate.
Technical thingies :
Year of serial production beginning: 1943
Lenght : 757 mm
Caliber : 9mm , 45Acp
Ammo capacity: 30

I think it was pretty good idea to create gun for every soldier. I'll end it here soooooooo.........

Springfield M1903

Hi everybody !

Today I'm gonna tell you about American primary rifle in WWI. Of course I'm going to talk about Spriengfield M1903.Catch !

History of the gun :
It was a good gun , also used in WWII even by british soldiers. I don't have much to say about this gun. One of the first guns of it's kind. Before , lever action (Like on wild west ) were the most popular , but they were faulty and were replaced by this kind of gun. It was more accurate and had greater firepower than other constructions. It was replaced by M1 Garand

Technical thingies :
 Years of serial produciton : 1903 - 1957
Weight 3.94
Lenght: 1097mm
Caliber : 7.62mm
Bullet speed : 853m/s
Effective ranege 800m

So that's it for this post , It's short because I couldn't find a lot of information on it.

The most popular German fighter in WWII

Hi everybody !
In this post I'm going to tell you about German one of the german fighters. What is it ? Me262 ? FW190? DO217? BF110? No , it isn't any of this . I'm going to talk about BF109 , one of the best fighters of WWII. It propably was one of the most upgraded planes of WWII. Here's a photo:
The one on photo I think is modernised BF109 K and it might be used for shows.

History of this beauty :
This plane is based on M37 made for Romania , it was called Bf 108 , in 1933 Luftwaffe made an order for a new fighter.  It had to fight with He112 . It lost the contest but Messerschmidt still worked on Bf 109. In later versions it was better than the He112 , and it beacame the primary plane of Luftwaffe.
Versions :
BF109 B: They had pretty weak engines , weighted 1505 kg , could fly with 465km/h , they were first teested in the home war in Spain .In 1937 the first series came out of the factory. It had only 2 mg's
BF109 C : It had a bit different engine than BF109B , weighted 1597 kg , it could fly with 470 km/h but it had better weaponary : 6 mg's and 2 20mm canons.
Bf109 D It had better engine than BF109C , weighted 1595 kg , Could fly with 499km/h it had only 4 mg's on board. (This is only model , I couldn't find a photo of real one).
Bf109 E It of course had better engine , but it had to have more fuel so germans had to give it bigger fuel tanks. It could fly with the max speed of 550km/h , It had 4 mg,s like version D , but later it was equiped with Additional 2 20 mm canons. That model was the most produced in the war.
Bf109 F : It had the same engine as version E (Wow , not upgraded !) but it had changed shape (Look at the photo). It's max speed was 635km/h. First version had only 2mg's and one 20mm canon , but later (F2) was equiped with rockets and another one (F4) was equiped with additional 15mm canons under the wings.
Bf109 G It had new engine (of course) . On the beginning it had same weaponary as version F , but later it had 13mm mg's instead of 7.9mm , and 30mm canon shooting through the engine instead of 20 mm canon. It also could take 20 mm canons under the wings , and 30mm canons also under the wings. Its max speed  was 660 km/h. It also had presurized cockpit so it could fly higher.
Bf109 K It had better engine , same weponary as the late G versions , Had changed propeller. It was the last Bf 109 , it could fly with the speed of 730km/h
Bf109 Z It was just a project and I think answer to american F82 Twin mustang , it was two BF109 connected by the wing. Under it i give you the photo of F82
I think they are pretty similar.

Alright , I know It's long , but I love those planes , they are really good , and almost every pilot was afraid of them. I think Germany during the WWII had the best technology... Here's an F version cockpit :

History :
In 1945 soviet army made a contest for the best new pistol , that will replace TT33. It had to be smaller , lighter , be more accurate and it has to had the same fire power. In 1951 PM won this contest and became a new primary pistol for soviet army. It was also used in russian police.
Technical stuff:
