Austria is surrounded by 8 countries (the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Italy)

Austria consists of nine “Länder”, one of them (Tyrol) has a flag  the same as Poland.

It's capital city is Vienna.

Area land- 83 871 km²

Population- 8 443 018

the highest mountain – Grossglockner ( 3798 meters)

Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger- famous actor who played in a lot of films for example 'The Terminator'(three part), 'The Expendables'(four part), 'Around the World in 80 Days', 'Total Recall'.

Andreas Goldberger- austrian ski jumper. He is  three times World Cup winner.In 2000-2003 he held the world record for the longest flight.

Thomas Morgenstern- austrian ski jumper, three times Olympic master and  he won World Cup two times. 

Franz Schubert- the best austrian composer, he wrote: mass, symphonies, sonnets, opuses and a lot of others.
