Ben 'Macklemore' Haggerty is 31 years old and he's an American singer and rapper. He's working with producer Ryan Lewis, violinist Andrew Joslyn and trumpeter Owuor Arunga. He works for record label Macklemore LLC. He's been an active singer since 2000. Macklemore got engaged on the 21st of January 2013 with Tricia Davids. His brother teaches Eanglish in high school. In 2008 Ben went to rehab, because he was addicted to drugs and alcohol. At the beginning his stage name was Möcklimore.
His single 'Thrift Shop' reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2013. His debiut album 'The Heist', which he recorded together with Ryan Lewis reached No. 2 on U.S. Billboard Hot 200. On the 56th Annual Grammy Awards he won four awards including Best New Artist, Best Rap Album (The Heist), Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance ('Thrift Shop').
