It was written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and her husband, Robert Lopez. It was produced by them, Christophe Beck, Chris Montan, Tom MacDougall.

In the film this song is performed by Kristen Bell, Agatha Lee Monn and Katie Lopez. All of them are playing Princess Anna, but at the different age. You can hear it in the beginning of the movie, when Elsa's parents lock her in her own room. They did it because as parents, they were afraid Elsa could hurt Anna if she'd lose control over her power. After their parent died, Anna asks her sister again if she will come out. 

The song did well in the charts. Actually, it reached no. 1 on the US Heatseekers Songs made by 'Billboard'. It sold almost one and a half copies in the USA alone. I think, it's a great song. My younger sister really likes this movie and I can often hear her singing the polish version of 'Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?'
