Ritchie Valens
Richard Steven 'Ritchie Valens' Valenzuela was an american musican rock vocalist and composer. He was born on the 13th of May 1941 in Pacoimie and he died on the 3th of February 1959 in Clear Lake. He died when he was 18 years old. He could play on the guitar, trumpet and drums. He grew up in Pacoimie. He lived in slums next to a farm. When he was 10 years old, his father died. In 1957 there was a crash between two planes and some of his friends died. Then he was afraid of aeroplanes. When he was 16 years old he joined a local group 'The Silhouettes' as guitarist and vocalist. In 1958 during the concert, he was found by the owner of a small record label Bob Keane. Ritchie signed an agreement with the label Del-Fi. His first songs 'La Bamba', 'Come on, Let's Go' and 'Donna' became his great hits.
I really like Ritchie Valens and I love his songs, my favorite is 'La Bamba'. This is it:
