Area land– 312,679 km²
Population– 38 500 000
The head state– president Andrzej Duda
Official language-  Polish
Religion- Roman Catholic
This country is surrounded by the Baltic Sea, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania and partly Russia. This country consists of seventeen voivodeships and there are 915 cities.

The highest mountains are Rysy (2 499 meters above sea level)
The longest river is Vistula-  1 047 kilometers
Pope John Paul II was the most prominent Polish person.
Holy Cross Mountains- Świętokrzyskie Mountains are the oldest mountains in Europe.
Poland is the biggest manufacturer of apples.
Polish traditional dish is stewed cabbage.
Warsaw and Lviv were the only cities honored with Virtuti Militari order.
Cuirasses have been invented by Kazimierz Żegleń and Jan Szczepaniak.
Nicholas Copernicus was the first person, who discovered that Earth isn’t in the centre of universe.
Szczecin's cinema "Pioner" has been working since 1909 and it is the second longest working cinema in the world.

Seventeen people from Poland got the Nobel prize. Maria Curie Skłodowska was the only person honored with Nobel prize in 2 different branch of sciences.
