Poland part 2



What are you able to see in the capital of Poland? 


 Main attractions are:


Sigismund's Column memorial of King Sigismund III Waza, located on the castle plaza in Warsaw. The column was constructed between 1643 and 1644, but it was destroyed by Germans in September 1944. In 1948-1949 this column was repaired and 16 years later inscribed into the national monument record.


Mermaid

Mermaid is a national emblem and symbol of Warsaw.

The palace of Culture and Science
The highest building in Poland, it's about 237 meters high.


Wilanow Palace- royal palace, which was constructed between 1681 and 1696 in baroque style. The  Palace and park in Wilanow are also places of cultural events, concerts and meetings including Summer Royal Concerts in the Rose Garden and International Summer Early Music Academy. 

Palace on the water- a complex in Warsaw from XVIII, it was constructed by Stanislaw II Augustus Poniatowski.

Palace on the water is a place where lots of cultural, science and entertaiment events take place. This is also one of the most beautiful place for a walk.
