Mâhidevrân

Mâhidevrân sultana-she was born on February 21 1500. She died on 3 February 1580. She was a woman of the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman, mother of Mustafa and Raziye.Probably she came from Albania. Her real name is probably Malhurub Baharay or Rosne Pravane. She was also known as Gülbahar, Gülbehar, Gülfrem, Gülden.The Sultan called her Gülbahar which meant rose spring. Mâhidevrân was the first woman in the life of the sultan who bore him a son. He was a prince Mustafa. She had two children who died. After the prince she had a son Ahmed, who died in infancy and a daughter sultana Raziye, but this was omitted in the series.After arrival at the palace sultanas Hurrem she had lost the status of the only woman who gave birth to Sultan child. After the death of the Valide Sultan she was banished from the palace along with his son who went to the province of Manisa. In the show Mâhidevrân is depicted as a woman with a beautiful beauty. She has green eyes and brown hair. Her roles in the TV series played Nur Aysan.
