Valide Sultan

Ayşe Hafsa Sultan-She was born on December 5, 1479. She died on March 19 1534. She was 54 years. She was the mother of Suleiman the Magnificent and wife of Selim I. In the palace she was called Valide Sultan which meant sultana mother. She was a very important woman in the harem of the Sultan. She managed the palace of his son until her death. She also had six daughters: Hatice, Fatma, Hafsa, Beyhan, Yenişah and Şah.At the beginning she lived in the province of Manisa in western Turkey. She lived there with her son Suleiman. She managed the palace there from 1513 to 1520.In later years, when her son became sultan after the death of her husband she managed the harem.She exerted a great influence on his son Suleiman. She was smart and strong woman.She has built new schools and hospitals. In the series, she has brown hair and brown eyes. She died getting a heart attack.
