Champion Update - Poppy, Keeper of the Hammer

Hello! Today I want to show you reworked Poppy, her appearance, lore and gameplay.


About Poppy:

Poppy, Keeper of the Hammer (previously the Iron Ambassador) was first champion released in 2010. Her rework was announced in 2012, but will release at the end of 2015. She was the first champion that costed 1350 IP on premiere. She is currently one of the most unliked and not picked champions.



Her skins: 

She currently has 6 skins:
  • Noxus Poppy (Legacy, 520 RP) - Released 20 days after Poppy came to live servers.
    "Her face paint and outfit strongly resemble the face paint and outfits of the band KISS." - League of Legends Wiki
  • Blacksmith Poppy (Legacy, 975 RP) - Released 24th August, 2010.
  • Lollipoppy (Limited edition, 975 RP) - Released 18th October, 2010. She is considered as the most scary skin in all of the league.
    "This skin is possibly a reference to the Oompa Loompas from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. (...) Poppy's face from the old splash art can be seen on one of the lollipops in the updated splash art."League of Legends Wiki
  • Ragdoll Poppy (Limited edition, 975 RP) - Released 14th December, 2010. "This skin a reference to the fictional character Raggedy Anne, who appears in a series of books illustrated for young children." - League of Legends Wiki
  • Battle Regalia Poppy (Available, 520 RP) - Released 14th March, 2011. "This skin was inspired by ChiZ's White Knight Poppy skin" - League of Legends Wiki
  • Scarlet Hammer Poppy (Available, 975 RP) - Released 1st February, 2012. "It may be a reference to the game Spiral Knights, as one of the shields in the game is known as the 'Scarlet Shield'." - League of Legends Wiki

Her new appearance:

Antil now, Poppy was known as "the most ugly champion". Now, Riot beauticains took her face, hair and.. armor to theirs own. Now she is so beautiful, and not only on Splash art. There you can see comparison. 

She didn't change anly on her basic skin. Here's her modelline: 
But new Lollipoppy still scares me.. Her "HAPPY" face is still on her new splash art. Just look at that lollipop..

Updated abilities:

Passive - Iron Ambassador

Every few seconds Poppy throws her buckler as a range attact dealing bonus damage. Then it drops on the ground. If she will pick it in few seconds she gains a shield. If attack kills the targer, buckler comes back to poppy automatically. 

Q - Hammer Shock

Poppy smashes the ground and deals damage in small area in front of her. It slows enemies. After 1 second it deals initial damage again. 


W - Steadfast Presence

Passively Poppy gains bonus armor and magic resist based on her actual Armor and MR (12 percent). It doubles when she is below 40% Health/
Activation of this spell gains poppy movement speed and creates sphere around her that stops enemy dashes and deals damage. 

E - Heroic Charge

Poppy charges on an ememy dealing damage and carrying them forward. If her enemy collides with terain, she deal double damage and enemy gets stunned. 

R - Keeper's Verdict

On first cast Poppy slows herself by 15% for up to 4 seconds. On second cast she smashes The ground and creates the shockwave dealing damage around first enemy champion hit and knocking them for a large distance toward their Summoning platform. 

New Lore: 

"Though capable of gargantuan feats, Poppy is often completely oblivious to the extent of her power. Toting the hammer bestowed upon her, she wanders Demacia, dutifully searching for a fabled hero who is to lead the kingdom to greatness. Little does she know, she is that hero, and the destiny of Demacia is in her hands."
