Then Boing came in and built CH47 Chinook. It's test fly took place on 21.09.1961. It was used in battle on 1966 , over vietnam. Americans tried to arm it , so they built 4 Chinooks with some machineguns and 70mm rockets , but while testing it Army lost 3 of them and the last one was brought to base and disarmed. Later CH47B arrived. It had better aerodynamics , engines , had 3 LMG's. They were used to transport even plane wrecks to base. Later they modified it and created CH47C. It could transport up to 44 soldiers or 24 wounded with 2 medical personell members. And of course it had better engines. It's been used since 1980. CH47D of course have better engines , was equiped with GPS system , Night vision and that kind of stuff.CH47F of course have better engines and it's in production since 2006. There is also MH47 , and it is dedicated to special forces. It can refuel in flight and that kind of stuff needed to do special stuff.
