Symbols of Japan

SAMURAI
A japanese fighter. He was well armed in complet called  ‘daisho’, which consisted of sabre ‘katan’ and a short sword. He wore daisho, because this was his obligation. Daisho isn’t only for arms, it's also somehow connected with soul. Samurai should be able to use a bow. Their hair was tied at the top of the head. They worksuit consisted of trousers 'hakama' and waistcoat 'kamishimo'. Their main rule was allegiance to their Lords and absolute servility. During the fight Samurai was not allowed to fear the death.
GEISHA
A woman, who has artistic abilities, entertaints guests with talking, dancing, singing, playing intruments. She can make a special ceremony of brewing and drinking tea. In Geisha's career there are three stages (first - Shikomi, second - Maiko third- Geisha)
SUMO
National sport, a kind of wrestling known since the begining VIII century. Place of the fight is a circle with a diameter that's 4,55 meters. Surface is covered in sand. The winner of the fight is the one who forces rival out of fight's field or makes him touch the surface by any part of their body. Players weigh about 150 kilogrames.
SUSHI
A japanese dish that contains of cooked rice, raw meat and additions such as seafood, vagetables, eggs, mushrooms, seaweed. Sushi is eaten using fingers or chopsticks.
