Bayezid

Bayezid- Ottoman prince, fourth son of Sultan Suleiman and sultanas Hürrem. The younger brother of Sultan Selim II Drunkard. He was very courageous and brave. He was born in 1525 and died on September 25 1561. He died together with his sons, executed by his own brother. He was favored by his mother, who wanted to became heir to the throne. He had siblings: Mehmet, Prince Selim, Prince Cihangir and Sultana Mihrimah.His brothers - Mehmet in 1543, and Mustafa and Cihangir in 1553 died. Bayezid competed with his brother since childhood. The fight between the brothers became the most fierce when Selim was appointed governor of Manisa (province successor). Suleiman attaining 60 years of age and struggle for the throne between the brothers was already visible. Suleiman scolded the children and decided to change their place of duty. Selim was entrusted power in Konya, and Bayezid in Amasyia, more distant provinces of Istanbul, but still similar to its distance.Selim immediately obeyed and moved to Konya. Bayezid listened to him only after long hesitation, because it was a province of Amasya his lost brother Mustafa. Angered Suleiman accused him of rebellion and helped the elder son of Selim in the fight against disobedient Bayezid. After the revolt Bayezid returned to Amasyia, and then fled to Safavid Persia with his sons and a small army. September 25, 1561 Bayezid along with four sons was executed in Persia by the Ottoman executioners. In the series, he was killed by Selim. The series is also a story of love Bayezid to sultanas Huricihan-daughter of his aunt Hatice.
