Hello!
In this post, I tell you about Burak Özçivit.

Burak was born on 24 December 1984 in Istambul. In 2005 he won the title of 'Best model of Turkey'  finished second in the 'Best Model of the World' competition. Özçivit started his career in television series Eksi 18, he played police commissioner named Murat. He also acted in Zoraki Koca, İhanet and Baba Ocağ and appeared in the movie Musallat. Burak played the role of Çetin (Chuck Bass) in the series Küçük Sırlar, the Turkish analogue of Gossip Girl. Özçivit acted in The Magnificent Century as  Malkoçoğlu Balı Bey.

Hello !

Today I tell you about Halit Ergenç.

Halit was born on  30 April 1970 in Istambul. In 1989 he started his education at İstanbul Technical University to study Marine Engineering. But he left after one year to study opera at Mimar Sinan University. At the same time, he performed as backing vocalist and dancer for Ajda Pekkan and Leman Sam. In 1996 Halit made his debut at the theatre in the musical The King and I. He went to New York and played in musical The Adventures of Zak.  Ergenç acted  as Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in the movie Dersimiz Atatürk which on based true story. From 2011 to 2014 he played Suleiman the Magnificent in the series The Magnificent Century.

Hello !

At this month I will show you, Turkish actor and actress.

In this post, I tell you about Meryem Uzerli.

Meryem was born on 12 August 1983 in Kassel, Germany. Her father is a Turk and mother is German. She is the best know from  Turkish drama The Magnificent Century where she played Hurrem Sultan. When Meryem came to Turkey in 2011 she didn't know Turkish, it was really hard to lear script. In 2013 Uzerli get depressed and came back to Germany. A year later she gave birth to a girl named Lara Jemine. Meryem resumes her career in 2016. She played the main character in TV series  Queen of the night and in movie Annemin Yarası.

Magnificent Century Kosem

Hello !

Today I show you "Magnificent Century Kosem"(Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem), it's continuation of "Magnificent Century" but story happens 100 years later. 

Story line :

Every episode shows Sultan Ahmed's life. His grandma gives him beautiful slave - Mahpeyker(future Kosem). He falls in love with her. After death of Ahemd she became the most powerful woman in Ottoman Empire. She was the first and only owner of title Büyük Valide Sultan (Big Valide Sultan ). In this series you see how people live in Ottoman Empire in 17 century. I can't wait for second season. I recommend it to everyone.

Magnificent Century

Hello !

Today I show you my favourite series  "Magnificent Century"(Muhteşem Yüzyıl). It was the first Turkish series I've ever seen. 

Story line:

Every episode shows life on Sultan Suleiman's court. His love for beautiful Roksolana (future Hürrem Sultan). She became first Sultan wife. Hürrem started sultanate of women in Ottoman Empire i.e huge leverage Sultan's wives and mothers on state policy. Of course the serie shows plots and hatred of Sultans. This movie  present how people live in 16 century. There are some facts from history, you can acquaint with Turkish culture. I recommend it to everyone.

Hi Ottomans!♡
Today I write here last post. I'm very sad, because I spent a great time writing here for you. I'm glad that I could share with you my interests.I hope that the posts were interesting and you liked it.Also,I hope that I intrigue you TV series "Magnificent Century" and his wonderful characters.Posting here was great fun and with pleasure I created for you more information.
I would now like to say something about the show and my opinion about the characters. I really love this show. I watched it from the beginning to the end.The series has had a huge impression on me. My favorite characters were Suleiman and Hurrem.I admire them for their loyalty to each other and great love.Suleiman was really fair and brave ruler and deserves the nickname "Magnificent".

Saraj Topkai

Palace Topkapi- palace situated in the eastern part of Constantinople. Main place of TV show Muhteşem Yüzyıl. Palace Topkapi was filed by the Ottomans in 1465. It became the residence of the Sultan Mehmed II the Conqueror. In 1520 the palace was the reign of Sultan Suleiman. It's here the action happens on the TV show Muhteşem Yüzyıl. This palace was the residence of Suleiman until his death in 1566, then it becomes the residence of Selim II Drunkard. Later sultans also used the palace as the seat.The last sultan having its registered office there was Mahmud II (until 1839). Sultan Abdülmecid moved the seat of the rulers of the Dolmabahçe Palace. For Orta Kapı (Gate Central) is the second courtyard. Gate built in 1524 Suleiman the Magnificent, who hired architects in the construction of the conquered Hungary. The third courtyard of Topkapı Palace was the private courtyard of the Sultan.To enter, you had to go through a so-called Gate of Happiness. No one could go through that door without a special permit. Audience Hall (Throne), here sultan met with the ambassadors of foreign states, as well as his military advisers. The Topkapi Palace is a harem, were the living quarters of the Sultan family. At the head of the harem was the mother reigning sultan. Harem consists of several hundred rooms.

Defne

Defne Hatun-she was born in Venice. She had a younger sister Anna. She was blonde. She was a maid who came to the palace of Selim and Nurbanu. At the behest Nurbanu she had hit to the palace of Bayezid and soon kill him. Defne didn't want to do that, but Nurbanu threatened her that she would kill her younger sister.She enamored in itself Bayezid. But then she fell in love with Bayazid. With regret, she wanted to kill him, but she didn't manage it. She look after his children and, in particular, Ayse. She bore him a son Mehmed. She wanted to Bayazid was on the throne. Soon she was the sultana and told the truth Bayazid who saved her sister.With Nurbanu didn't have a good relationship and even hated herself because she wanted (Nurbanu) to kill her sister. When Selim killed Bayezid she drank the poison along with her son, because she didn't want to give satisfaction Nurbanu. She died along with her son 10.03.1561 year.

Matrakçı Nasuh Efendi

Matrakczy Nasuh Efendi- soldier Suleiman and best friend Bali Bey and Ibrahim Pasha. Nasuh from the beginning of the show was the best friend of Ibrahim. For a time he was in love with Sadyca, but later on the command of Ibrahim Pasha had to throw her into the sea.Later, at the command Hatice he married with Nigar. Ibrahim during the wedding night told him that he really loves Nigar, not Hatice. While his wife met with Ibrahim in a secret house Matrakczy sat in the tavern.When Ibrahim saw the state of the Nasuh, she told him to stop drunk in taverns and go home. His friend replied that 'here is his house. " Eventually divorced Nigar and stopped going to such places.According to historians, he was a very educated man and knew how to use the 5 languages. Suleiman really trusted him. He was a man devoted and faithful. After the death of Ibrahim and leaving Bali Bey he was in the capital and served the Sultan.

Mihrunnisa

Mihrunnisa- she was the daughter of Barbarossa. Wife of Prince Mustafa. She sailed with his father to Constantinople. She dressed like a man and very loved the sea. She was brave and courageous. Mihrunnisa met with Prince Mustafa. She was to be his ally and protect him from his enemies. Soon, however, the girl fall in love with him. Mihrunissa want hide her feelings, but she didn't. Mustafa saw that she loves him and returned the feeling. Mustafa took with her secret wedding because he couldn't have done it without the consent of the Sultan.The girl started wearing dresses and look like a woman. Barbarossa's daughter gave birth to a boy, Mehmet. After the death of her beloved Mihrunnisa fell into a depression. Also killed her son. She decided to commit suicide. She came to the harem, and before Sultana Hurrem, which was blamed for the death of her husband killed himself. Historically Hızır Pasha had no daughters, but  son, Hasan.

Barbarossa

Hajraddin Barbarossa- he was born in 1478 Midilli on Lesbos, and died July 4, 1546 in Istanbul. He was an admiral of the Ottoman Empire troops, the Turkish privateer, the most famous pirate ever roamed on the Mediterranean. Barbarossa built a powerful fleet, which  used in pirate operations in the interest of Turkey. In 1532 years he attacked Malta. He was appointed commander of the Turkish fleet.Serving as supreme commander of the Turkish fleet, Barbarossa made it one of the most powerful armed forces in the contemporary world. In 1537 the fleet under command Suleiman plundered the south-east coast of Italy. In the years 1542-1544 Barbarossa returned to action against Spain. When his ally, Francis I signed a peace treaty with Charles V, Barbarossa lost the ability to conduct further operations of the western Mediterranean. He settled in Istanbul, where he died two years later. He was great admiral and friend Suleiman.

Firuze

Firuze Hatun - a mysterious figure that appears at the beginning of the third season. In the first episode of Season 3 slave ship sailed from Persia to the palace of Sultan Suleiman. She saved Sultana Hatice, saving her when she lost consciousness. Later, she was a servant  Hürrem and her daughter Mihrimah. She helped small Cihangir, finding ointment on his back pain caused by the disease.Firuze won the sympathy of almost all of the Sultan family. However, since the beginning of the emergence of Firuze, you could see the mysterious tattoo on her neck. One day in the harem was fun for the sultan. Firuze danced him and went to his alcove. Girl hiding from Sultana Hurrem, because she knew that she would be jealous. Hurrem soon learned the truth and wanted to kill her.Before Hurrem managed to do it, it turned out that Firuze came from hostile Safavid family. Sultan learned the truth and banished her from the palace. The Sultan ordered to send her to the province of Amasya. On the way she was reflected by the Persians. Then it turned out that her true identity is Hümeyra Hatun. She was a spy sent by the Shah and sultana Firuze to Topkapi.

Princess Isabella Fortuna

Princess Isabella Fortuna - she was a Spanish princess. The character in the series was inspired by Isabella I of Castile, who was Queen of Castile and Leon.It is impossible that the princess was the concubine of Suleiman. True Princess Isabella died in 1504 (Sultan was born eight years earlier). When Izablela flowed ship, turkish pirates kidnapped her.The princess couldn't speak Turkish.Sultan was always very kind to her, even gave her a table, because Isabella had problems with food-legged. Nevertheless, the princess still considered him a barbarian. Hurrem from the beginning was very jealous of the beautiful princess.One night she let into her room venomous snake. The plot failed because the princess was saved by sultan. The girl soon recovered. She was very grateful for saving her life. When she learned that the sultana is even more jealous, she decided to fight and joined the sultan's harem.Soon Hurrem managed to destroy the princess. She hide her into sack and thrown into the sea. The case princess with the elapse of time stopped and all forgot about it.

Gulsah

Gulsah Hatun - in the beginning was serving sultanas Mahidevran later Hurrem. At the beginning of the show Gulsah was a faithful servant Mahidevran. First sultana ordered her to poison Hurrem by pouring poison into her dessert. Gulsah gave poison maid who offered up food, saying it would only cause diarrhea.Later, fearing that she will tell the truth, she hung it to make it look like suicide.Then Gulsah decided  to kill Hurrem in night, while she is sleeping. Mahidevran forbidden her to do, but she didn't listen to her. The slave made a mistake, and at night stabbed serving sultanas - Gulnihal. The girl went to the clinic. When sultana Mahidevran learned event, she beats the maid, claiming that fell down the stairs.Then when Mahidevran banished Gulsah from the palace and everyone thought that was stabbed, she secretly met with Hurrem, who decided to protect her. Gulsah in return had given her important information about Ibrahim. From now Gulsah served sultana. She was very bad. Nobody didn't like her. She hasn't a nice beauty.

Afife

Afife Hatun - she was the manageress of the harem of the third season. Afife came to the palace after the death of Mother Sultanas and former manageress Daye Hatun. After talking with Hatice she decided that arrange the fun for Suleiman. Hurrem obviously didn't like the idea. After all, Afife arranged a party at which Suleiman met Firuze.Hurrem previously adopted a girl as a maid, so it was easy to discover the truth. Afife with Hatice, Mahidevran and Gulfem with Kirasa defended Firuze. When the favorite Thursday night went into the alcove, sultana wanted to drink the poison, but Afife saved her and said that Suleiman sent a concubine. Unfortunately, the girl turned out to be a spy of the Persian dynasty hostile to the Sultan, so he sent her away.Afife at the beginning didn't like Hurrem. She thought Hurrem wants to win just power. But after she rescued Hurrem and learned how much she loves Suleiman she became friends with her. She was her faithful servant and great manageress harem. Then again he saved Hurrem life. When Sultana went to pray someone wanted to kill her and threw stones at her. Afife covered her with his body sultana and saved her life. Afife after the accident had a serious head injury and died shortly afterward.

Sumbul Aga

Sumbul Aga-he was a faithful servant of Hurrem. At the beginning of the series he was an enemy of sultana, but soon began to serve her. He was a good servant in a harem. Sumbul was sly and crafty for money, but to end faithful for Hurrem. He was a very funny character. The first and last person in which he fell in love was Cevher Hatun. He had to kill her. She didn't love him and only served to Prince Mustafa.When Sumbul said Hurrem that no longer has the strength to work in the harem and would like to leave him Hurrem give him his freedom. She gave him also their possessions, in which he could live. During his absence in the harem he made cafe where he sold along with his new friend  popular in the whole empire-coffee. It was a favorite drink sultana. Café done at the beginning of a bad impression on people, but later they began to like coffee. When people began to say that coffee is addictive, Sultan forbade selling it throughout the empire.After losing the cafe and the assassination of sultana, Sumbul despite freedom returned to the palace to continue to serve Hurrem. He believes that the palace is his home. After the death of sultanas he served her daughter Mihrimah. He made a symbolic closing of the doors of the harem.

Huricihan

Huricihan- she was born in 1530. She died in 1553. She was the daughter of Ibrahim Pasha and Sultanas Hatice. Hurcihan was born in season 2 and was the twin sister of Osman. For the fourth season only played a minor role, appearing sometimes. After the death of his parents went to her aunt Beyhan. Soon she came to the palace back with sultana Fatma. Prince Cihangir fell in love with her, but she didn't love him. Later she became the wife of Prince Bayezid, his cousin, who returned her love.The wedding was held in secret and for many years was hidden.Bayezid didn't want to tell his father about the wedding.When Huricihan told him about the wedding, it turned out that the sultan has long been know about it. Huricihan didn't give him any children, but she tried all ways. Often to the palace arrived witches and gave her herbs.Probably she was barren.Huricihan died in the fourth season. Between her and Nurbanu (wife of Selim) was a big quarrel. Sultanas had beaten up. Nurbanu heavily hit her in the head.Huricihan the beginning was conscious.Later she died in the clinic.Historically, the daughter Hatice Sultanas and Ibrahim Pasha was named Fulan.She had a sister.

Nigar

Nigar Kalfa or Hatun- she was manageress of the harem, and one of the servants. At the beginning of the show was the manageress of the harem, and later became friends with one of the slaves, later Sultana Hurrem. She told her how to become a sultana and supported her in this. Then she often helped Hurrem in its conspiracies. However, not everyone liked her devotion to Hurrem. Sultana Mahidevran often giving away her gifts in exchange for that it will be on her side. Nigar always preferred Hurrem.Nigar from the beginning of the series was in love with Ibrahim Pasha. Soon Ibrahim also fell in love with her. He was very angry at his wife Hatice. In the second season, at the behest of Hatice, Nigar got married with Nasuh Efendi. However, the wedding night Nasuh divorced her - as he told grand vizier. Divorce was held in secret. But soon everyone found out about it, and Nigar stopped living with Nasuh.In the third season, Ibrahim told Nigar that he didn't love her. Soon she found out that she is pregnant. Long she hid it, but soon is Ibrahim found out about it. By intrigue Hurrem sultana Hatice also found out about it. Nigar gave birth to a daughter. Small Kader was hidden by Hatice, who said to Nigar that her child died. Soon everyone knew the truth.Nigar wanted to kidnap his daughter but didn't succeed. Ibrahim allowed to see her with her daughter, which gave a new name Esmanur. After the death of Ibrahim the girl was sent to his homeland. Nigar couldn't find her daughter. Out of despair after the death of his beloved, and the disappearance of her daughter she committed suicide and jumped into the abyss. Earlier she wanted to jump with daughter Rustem and Mihrimah on hands, but gave back them.

Aybige

Aybige-she was the niece of sultanas mother. She appears in the second season. She came from the Crimea to the Ottoman seraglio as a guest, because she wasn't safe because of the prevailing war there.She was very courageous and brave. She couldn't get used to life in the palace. Aybige at the beginning dresses like a man. She wore trousers, which was unusual. For the time Aybige realizes and starts to wear beautiful gowns. Her supervisor was Bali Bey, whom she didn't like. She considered him a boor and gazing at each other.He believes that the girl is annoying. Soon, however, she fell in love with him. Bali Bey returned her feeling. They really wanted to get married. It turned out that Aybige must marry a prince Mustafa- son Mahidevran and Suleiman. The girl really liked him, but treated him as a brother. She didn't want him to marry. Aybige became friends with Sultana Hurrem.Sultana really wanted to help her escape from Bali Bey. Aybige agreed. The plan, however, didn't go - Bali Bey was to be killed, but the Prince at the last moment stopped the executions. The girl behind the penalty returned to the Crimea and Bali Bey was sent back to his homeland. Their relationship came to an end. Aybige no longer shows up in the series.

Bali Bey

Bali Bey-bey and a soldier of the Ottoman Empire. Bali Bey appeared in the second season. He was a brave and courageous soldier. He fought at the Battle of Mohács with the Sultan and Ibrahim Pasha. For a time, he was a favorite of the sultan, who gave him the position of "chamberlain". Bali Bey was several times in love. His first love was Armin.She was an ordinary girl who lived in the city. Bali Bey defended her in danger and immediately fell in love. The girl at the beginning didn't like him. Often he was coming into her house.Father Armin every time banished Bali Bey. The girl was beginning to convince the Bali Bey. One day he took her, and her father reported him to the Grand Vizier Ibrahim Pasha, who ordered her to return home. Some time later, Armin ill with the plague. Her father decided to allow her to meet with Bali Bey. A couple got married, but Armin died a day later.Another of his love was Aybige, who was niece Valide. Bali Bey had to look after her. Since the beginning of the couple didn't like each other. Soon they both fall in love. Aybige want to necessarily go to the Crimea, but not to part with Bali Bey. Hurrem came up with an escape plan, which unfortunately failed. Thus ended the relationship Aybige and Bali Bey. Thread the show is stopped.Sultana Mihrimah was in love with him, but he didn't love her.
