History of this hand breaking piece of steel:
Whole project is from 1900 and it was made by John Browning. Serial production begun in 1911 and after WWI (In 1926 exactly) The Amercicans made some changes and created M1911A1. It was made to be more comfortable and people with short fingers could use it comfortably .There were M1911's made in caliber .455 auto for Canada and Britain and licence copies to Finland and Argentina were also sold.It was used in WWII, even in the Polish army in the west.  There were some logistics issues so Colts for partisants were made to shoot 9x19 Parabellum caliber. During the fight on Guadancanal (1942-1943) american general Alexander Vandergirft was sitting on the open space and was writing the report when three japanese soldiers  attacked him . He was alone and armed only with what? Of course a Colt 1911. What happaned next? Think...... Hmmm , what could happen to three japanese running straight into a 45ACP caliber pistol on close range , hmmmmmmmmmmm..........
