WWE Pay-per-views (Part 6)



August
Summer Slam
 

The inaugural SummerSlam took place on August 29, 1988 at the Madison Square Garden in the New York City and was broadcasted via pay-per-view. SummerSlam has been touted by WWE as their second biggest event of the year after WrestleMania.


September
Backlash
 
The event was created in 1999, with its inaugural event produced as an In Your House event in April of that year. The event was rebranded as an annual PPV event for WWE in 2000 .
Backlash was announced as returning as a SmackDown exclusive event in 2016.

Clash of Cahmpions
 
The first Clash of Champions was held on March 27, 1988 by Jim Crockett Promotions and was entitled NWA: Clash of the Champions.
Clash of Champions was announced as a Raw exclusive event in 2016.

October
No Mercy
 
The event was held annually in October from 1999 to 2008, and from 2003 to 2006. It was exclusive to the SmackDown brand. In 2016, the event returned as a SmackDown exclusive following the reinstated of brand extension and aired on the WWE Network for the first time.
