Australia part 2


What are you able to see in the biggest city of Australia?

Sydney is the oldest, biggest, and most beautiful of all Australian cities.


Main attractions  

Harbour Bridge or “coathanger”- one of the biggest humpbacked bridges in the world (1149 meters long and 134 meters above sea level.) There is an entry to a bridge, that is a popular attraction for tourists.

Sydney Opera House- in XX century a decision to build Opera House was made. The project won Danish architect Jørn Utzon. Sydney Opera House consist of a few rooms:
Concert Hall (2 679m of sitting area), Joan Sutherland Theatre (1 507m of sitting area)
Drama Theatre (544m of sitting area), Playhouse (398m of sitting area), Studio (400m of sitting area), Utzon Room (210m of sitting area) and Forecourt.

St Mary's Cathedralthis building was build in a neo-gothic style and there is a residence of the Archbishop of Sydney.

Australian beaches are amazing, everyone should go along the Pacific Ocean. Beaches such as  Bondi Beach, Manly, Palm Beach, Wattomolla Beach and Coledale Beach are the most popular and a fantastic phenomenons.

Blue Mountains- about 100 kilometers on the west of Sydney. The highest mountain is One Tree Hill (1 111 meters above sea level). National Park “Blue Mountains” is an UNESCO World Heritage Area. The mountains are covered with eucalyptus. That species is rich in essential oils, so it smells great there.
