Hi!
Today I’m going to
write about a controversial musical – ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’. It became one of the greatest achievements in
the history of musical theater. It’s legendary rock opera from England by Andrew
Lloyd Webber (music) and Tim Rice (libretto). It was premiered on 12 October
1971.
It’s a story of
latest week of Jesus’ life from the perspective his supporter and opponents. On
the basis of the musical they were 2 films:
- by Norman Jewison (1972)
- by Gale Edwards
(2000)
In Poland we can see
this performance in Gdynia, Chorzów, Łódź and Warsaw.
