Summer Nights

'Summer Nights' is a song from the movie called 'Grease'.  It was written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. It was recorded by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. It was released a single on the 25th of August 1978.

In the film, John Travolta plays Danny Zuko and Olivia Newton-John plays Sandy Olsson. Both of those are lead roles. Sandy is a very nice, well-spoken and smart girl. I would describe her style as girly and smart. Danny is her complete opposite. He can be very rude, doesn't care much for grades and loves leather jackets. He's a part of 'The T-birds'  gang. 

In the song Olivia makes Danny sound like a really nice guy. She sings about how they hold hands and how sweet the boy was. However Danny brags about the physical aspects of their relationship. He sings about how he saved girl's live because she was nearly drowning, which is not true. He also wonders where she is now. What he doesn't know is that Olivia's closer than he thinks.

I really like this song, it's one of my favourites from this movie. I think the singers voices sound really good together.
