FRENCH TOAST



FRENCH TOAST

INGREDIENTS
  • 8 slices of toasts or slices of white bread
  • 8 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • 4 tablespoons of butter


DIRECTIONS

Preheat the oven to 160°C. Put the bread slices on a baking sheet. Bake the slices for 6 minutes, then flip them and bake for 6 more. Set aside to cool. Reduce the oven temperature  to 100°C.
Whisk the eggs, granulated sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and salt together in a large heatproof dish.

Heat a large skillet over a medium-low or medium heat. Place 2 slices of bread in the egg mixture. Let the bread soak completely in the egg mixture on both sides. Melt a tablespoon of butter in the skillet and add the 2 soaked slices; cook until the outside is golden brown ans crispy. You can eat toasts with powdered sugar or maple syrup.
