Onyx

'Onyx' was written by Jennifer L. Armentrout. The book was published on the 14th of August 2012. It's the second part of the Lux series. The book's genre is fantasy and science fiction. The next part is ‘Opal’.

Katie Swartz isn’t an ordinary person. Everythingin her life changes. Daemon tries to get to know her, but she doesn't make it easy for him.  At school appears new boy, Blake. It turns out that he knows about the existence of aliens. Katie can't see anything suspicious but Daemon once noticed that he’s different. He’s trying to protect her but Katie thinks that Daemon is wrong. And here appears the biggest problem. In the city the people from the Department of Defense are turning up. Swartz and Black must keep together and take care of themselves. If anybody finds out that Daemon saved Katie, he will end up badly.

This part of Lux series is better than the previous one. ‘Onyx’ holds in the tension. It’s read quickly and it’s hard to break away from it.
