Athena

Hi, this time you will get to know the next one goddess - Athena, one of my favorite.

After the incarceration of Metis, Gaya underrated prophecy by which a next Zeus's son is going to overthrow him, so Zeus ate Metyd. One day, Zeus has got a headache, so he called Hephasteus. He ripped his head off with a hammer and then Athena jumped off in full armor. That's how she born.

Athena is a goddess of legitimate war, wisdom, strategy, and art. She was the patron of spinners and embroiders. There was only one seamstress better than her - Arachne. That's why Athena changed her into half spider-half human.

Athena was wearing bright armor, sometimes she was using Zeus's thunder. She had a gold spear and shield with Medus's face - Aegis.

Her holy symbols are spear and shield, the great animal is an owl and great plant - olive.

Her Roman counterpart is Minerwa.

Slasher (s02) - review

Hi, in this post I want to present to you Slasher, but just the second season, because I haven't watched the first one yet. It's an anthology, so seasons aren't connected with each other. This show tells a story about a some grop of former friends' horrific secret, but after a few years the secret came out. They have to return to their resort (where they spend one summer as attendants on a camp) and people in the group start dying one by one.

Honestly, characters in this story were pathetic most of the time. I feel that producers focused more on bloody scenes than on the acting. I'm disappointed about it, because whole idea for this series is quite good, but some of scenes are so meaningless and stupid that I just couldn't stand it. One thing which I can own to this show is that, there are really well made bloody scenes, but I have to warn you, they are cruel. If you are a fan of brutal horror-criminal productions, you can try to watch it. I hope you liked this post, bye for now!

Artemis and Apollo

Hi, today I want to introduce you to two gods - Artemis and Apollo.

They were siblings, and their parents are Zeus and Leto. There were born on an island- Delos.

Artemis is older than her brother but not much. Artemis is the goddess of hunt, forests, animals, mountains, and flora. She is a big hunter. Also considered to be the goddess of fertility, helping the women who give birth. she was hunting with her follower.

Holy symbols: arch, guiver, arrow

Great animal: doe.

Her Roman equivalent is Diana.

Apollo is the god of music, health, art, Oracle, prophecy. Guite of nine muses. In later beliefs, he took over the duties after Helios - riding the golden chariot on the sky. He is also fautor of singers and poets. The guardian of Delphic oracle. Apollo was the most beautiful and the youngest of the male gods.

Holy symbol: lyre.

Boar in the garden

Today I want to tell you a story about my Hollidays, expecially my father.

My dad come to home from cruise. He was going to garden ,when he was a boar which was running araund garden. Boar couldn't get out by the fance.My dad called all men from area.When neighbors came a boar forced a fance and got out of garden. My father was actinglike a crazy man which came from the wilds. In order to keep away neighborhood we made better fance. They were looks like very funny as army which was going on a war.

for this day all neighbors was laughing for my crazy dad and we were give though of the boar was real.

Strange situation

This morning I went to the school. In front of me there was a walking a man. At the point man was walking very strange.

I faced and the man was juncle an the footcloth. I don't know what I must to do.Fortunately I saw a car. I stoped woman in this car and she told me go to school. I gave a woman my telephone number and I asked for informing me about a man. I was thinking about man all day. At least woman called me and told me that he is fine. After school I went to the hospital to see this man. He was very grateful for help his live.

When I think about this sytuation I covid act diferently but I was schocked about that sytuation. Next time I will known what  I have do.

Peaky Blinders (s01-s04) - review

Hi everyone! In today's post I want to tell you something about one of my favourite series, which is Peaky Blinders. This show is based on affairs of an actual British gang, which was functioning in the 1920s in Birmingham. The director was inspirated by his parents, because they remembered times when Peaky Blinders' gang was popular in Britain. It has four seasons so far, the fifth has been announced, but nobody knows when it'll come. 

Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy) is the most important preson to this story, he's a boss of the gang and most of the plot involves him. At the beginning you can think that he's a ruthless man, but later it came out that he's quite sensitive and reasonable. He's definitely my favourite character in this series, his emotions seems so real that you can fall in love with him (not for real of course)! 

Another really relevant character to this story is Polly Gray (Hellen McCrory) and she's Shelby's aunt. She's one of the most stubborn and resonable people in the series, but by the time, her mental health is closes in. However, she's a strong women character most of the time. She often counsels Tommy in many cases.

Whole series is great and I enjoyed it very much. I love the characters, costumes and especially music, because it's a fantastic modern-sounds and old times atmosphere combination. It's truly worth to watch. I hope you liked this post, bye!

"Mia and the white lion"

Hi everyone!

Today I went to the cinema with my cousin. I was on the movie "Mia and the white lion". When we went to screening room our seats were taken, fortunately my cousin went to this people and told them they made a mistake and they agreed, apologised and changed their seats.

The film was about family witch moved from London to Australia. The girl-Mia got the white lion on the Christmas. Firstly girl doesn't convince for this "pet" but with time she loved that white lion and gave it name "Charlie". When Charlie grown up, girl's parents were baring her to meet a lion. Regardless She was meeting lion secretly. Her brother taken a photo of lion and Her. Then her parents found out about that. The girl ran away with Charlie.

On this film I was crying maby a lot five times in a row and when lion was jumping on girl I was scared. J though Charlie sometimes wanted to eat Mia. Anyway like that film.

Ernest

Hi everyone!

This weekend my boyfriend's neighbor find a small dog. My boyfriend adopted it. Dog was in the bag in the forest. Neighbor heared it becouse dog was screaming.

It isn't a normal dog. It name is Ernest as writter Ernest Hemingway. It has got two another colours of eyes. One eye is blue but second one is brow. I's mixed breed. Ernest is a hasky and labrador as one. Ernest's colour is black and beige. When neighbor found Ernest he had three months. He is a big dog and he has got big paws.

Every Saturday and Sunday we were going with Ernest on two hours long walk. On a wak we are running but Ernest was run about five metters and than he was stopping to eat heavy sand or grass. On Hollidays when Ernest hrow up we are planning to start running with him. Maby then it could be more interesting than eating grass.

Upon release, the album's sound polarised listeners, and was met with critical disdain.Titbit about BMTH is that played on Polish's festival - Pol'n'Rock in 2016, this was a big attraction there.

Mount Olympus

Hi, guys, in Today's post I'll show you Olympus. Everyone has a house, so gods too and it's Mount Olympus.

Grecians were believing that is the dwelling of the highest gods. If someone mortal would get on a mountain it will be a big insult and he will be dropped from above.

On Olympus were a lot of god's mansions and Zeus'es one was placed on the highest part. There were also lived beautiful and wailing maidens - indirect goddesses. There were also exceptions of Olimpic twelfth: Arthemida were living in a forest, Poseidon shows on Olympus only sometimes and Hades has his own abode in Undergrounds.

The 'coolest' house began to Zeus and Hera. There were making a lot of parties in neer. Sometimes they're inventing orphans of meritorious mortals.

Tasmanian devil

Tasmanian devils have a notoriously cantankerous disposition and will fly into a maniacal rage when threatened by a predator, fighting for a mate, or defending a meal. Early European settlers dubbed it a “devil” after witnessing such displays, which include teeth-baring, lunging, and an array of spine-chilling guttural growls. Tasmanian devils are strictly carnivorous, surviving on small prey such as snakes, birds, fish, and insects and frequently feasting communally on carrion. They are at their most rowdy when jockeying for position on a large carcass. Like other marsupials, when they are well fed, their tails swell with stored fat. Devils are solitary and nocturnal, spending their days alone in hollow logs, caves, or burrows, and emerging at night to feed. They use their long whiskers and excellent sense of smell and sight to avoid predators and locate prey and carrion. They'll eat pretty much anything they can get their teeth on, and when they do find food, they are voracious, consuming everything—including hair, organs, and bones. 

Meerkat

Meerkat ((aka suricate)) just as humans can identify our friends’ and family’s voices over the phone, a 2011 study showed that meerkats can distinguish between the calls of different members of their clan.

While most of the gang is out foraging and hunting for food—or standing guard—one male or female, adolescent or young adult stays behind in the burrow to “babysit” any pups. This is not an official job—whichever adult is least hungry is put on pup-sitting duty—but the other meerkats do reward their sitter with food at the end of the day.

Although they are social and even affectionate within their clan, meerkats are highly territorial and will engage in violent, all-out turf wars with neighboring gangs. The fights are waged as a collective, with each gang posturing and attempting to intimidate the opposition first. If this fails, the fight will be brief but deadly—less than half all adult meerkats survive any given year. Also, a Meerkat mother will bring its pups live bugs and teach them how to kill the prey.

'Pledge'

Hello everyone!

In this post I'll tell you about the last movie from marathon. The title is 'Pledge' and the director is Daniel Robbins. Enjoy!

The plot tells us about three losers from college. Justn (Zachery Byrd), Ethan (Philip Andre Botello) and David (Zack Weiner) want to inflate their reputation in eyes of pretty girls and cool boys from school. They decided to join to the popular, but controversial club. They didn't know what they will have to do and this will leave scar on their psyche for all life.

Honestly, I don't like this film. The plot is okay, but what creator do later really, really led me. I expected something more. There are a lot of scenes of tortur and blood and it's good, but it could be better.

'Aterrados'

Hello guys!

In this post I want to tell you about another film of marathon, which I was with my friend. The movie 'Aterrados' is spanish and the director is Demian Rugna - a famous movie creator from Argentina. I hope you'll enjoy!

In one of the Buenos Aires neightborhoods, weird things are starting to happend. People disappear, the dead rise from their graves and that annoying sounds won't stop. If it's not the neighbour, then what…? When husband (Maximiliano Ghone) comes back to home and looks to the bathroom, then reveals it's his death wife hits her head on the wall and levitate in the air. The experts supernatural stuff start a investigated.

I think this horror is on a medium level. The plot isn't interesting at all, jumpscares are great and effects are good too. I recommended that film to people who like a lot of action in movies.

Hyena

Though many people compare hyenas to dogs, they are actually much more like cats. In fact, they are members of the suborder Feliformia, which is a classification for cat-like carnivores. The spotted hyena is the largest species, and it grows to 4 to 5.9 feet ((1.2 to 1.8 meters)) long and 2.5 to 2.6 feet ((77 to 81 centimeters)) tall from paw to shoulder. They weigh 88 to 190 lbs. ((40 to 86 kg)).

Brown hyenas are the second largest, ranging from 51 to 63 inches ((130 to 160 cm)) long and weighing 75 to 160 lbs. ((34 to 72.6 kg)). Brown hyenas can be distinguished from other hyenas by the long, shaggy hair, which is dark brown or black on the body and tan on the shoulders and neck. Hair on the neck grows to about 12 inches ((30.5 cm)), in contrast to the short hair on the legs, face and ears. The tail is short and bushy. The forelegs, which are horizontally striped, are much longer and more massively built than the hind legs, giving the brown hyena the appearance of always climbing a hill.

The striped hyena is 39 to 45 inches ((100 to 115 cm)) long and 26 to 30 in ((66 to 75 cm)) tall from paw to shoulder. Their tails add another 12 to 16 in ((30 to 40 cm)) and they weigh from 57 to 90 lbs. ((26 to 41 kg)). Striped hyenas have long hair that is gray to straw-colored. Their muzzle is black, and there are black stripes on the head, torso and legs. 

Aardwolves are the smallest species of hyena. They weigh from 17.6 to 30.8 lbs. ((8 to 14 kg)), and their length ranges from 33 to 41 inches ((85 to 105 cm)) — and about one-fourth of that is the tail.

'St. Agatha'

Hello readers!

Today, I'll tell you about the second movie from marathon that I mentioned in last post. The title is 'St. Agatha' and Darren Lynn Bousman is the director of that awesome, brutal horror. Enjoy!

First of all, this movie is filled with really violent and disgusting scenes. For example, one of the characters had to eat her vomit. But if you don't mind, you should watch it!

The film is about Mary (Sabrina Kern) - the young, pregnant woman, who is looking for safe place fot herself and her baby. She finds it in the monastery in Georgia. The nuns promised to help Mary, but she must live like one of them. After couple days, things are staring to change and her asylum is becoming one of her darkest nightmares. She has one purpose - protect her child.

This film is one of the most interesting horrors that I watched on the marathon. Scenes of abuse was in point for me. The plot is very good, I wasn't bored even for a second. I recommended this film if you have some time and want to watch something bloody.

'Prodigy'

Hi everyone!

Two weeks ago I  was on a movie marathon in the cinema with my friend and I saw four really interesting horrors, so today I'm going to tell you about one of them.

I thought, what film I can tell you about first and I decided to show you 'Prodigy'. The director is Nicholas McCarthy. I hope you'll enjoy!

The movie's plot shows us Sarah's (Taylor Schilling) family. Young mother is worrying about his eight years old son - Miles (Jackson Robert Scott). The boy has problems with talking to others kids, making friends and cooperation. But he's smarter than normal boys and girls in his age. One night, Miles had a nightmare and weird things like talk in other, unknown language. That night will be able to change all Sarah's live in the darkest trauma. Will young woman survive and keep her last bits of sanity? If you are curious - just watch.

 I think this movie is really, really good. I don't know what bad can I say. The jumpscares were good, but creators might had more scary scenes. Actors were good in almost all roles. At the end I was really surprise. I recommended that horror to everyone who like goose bumps and good plot in movies.

Lycaon pictus

African wild dog ((a.k.a. Lycaon)) is the largest of its family in Africa. It's a highly social animal, living in packs with separate dominance hierarchies for males and females and they have a hypercarnivorous diet ((more than 70% of their food is meat)). The species is a specialised hunter of antelopes, which it catches by chasing them to exhaustion. The African wild dog is mostly found in savanna zones, generally avoiding forested areas. They have an extremely powerful bite with specialised molars for shearing meat and breaking bone and have exceptionally keen senses of sight, smell and particularly hearing. They have a unique social hierarchy - At first pups are fed by the dogs regurgitating fresh meat after returning from a hunt, but once old enough, they are taken to the kill and given first choice over the spoils. The other dogs patiently wait on the side lines, standing guard until their turn to feed. They almost never fight amongst themselves over food due to this ranking system. When a dog becomes ill, injured or elderly restricting or even incapacitating their effectiveness as a hunter, the rest of the pack cares for and feeds them. Recently the alpha female of a pack in Botswana lost one of her forelegs during a hunt. For any other predator, this would be a death sentence. However, she remained the alpha female for a few years afterwards continuing to breed and raise pups while being looked after by the pack. Also, the 80% success rate in wild dog hunts can be attributed mainly to the coordinated nature of the pack. Communication is key and the dogs constantly let one another know both their location and that of the prey. Their high intelligence and teamwork allows them to adapt to changing scenarios during a hunt.

God of god's pt.2

Hi, guys So today you can 'meet' Odin - another God of God's but in Norse mythology.

The Gog of war and warriors, the deity of sagacity, authority, poetry, and magic. Husband of goddess Frigg and Thor's father. All three were worshiped in shire in Uppsala. Together with Frigg, he led the fallen warriors in Walhalla.

Like you know from a previous post he with his brothers created the world from a Giant- Ymir and also generated two first humans (Ask, Embla).

His Holy symbols are raven, wolf, and spear. He has two ravens - Huginn (thought) and Munnin (memory) and two wolves: Geri and Freki.

Odin sits on the throne from which he sees everything that's happening in nine worlds. He likes to change his psychical form.

Odin's spear- Gungnir always brought a win and his ring - Draupnin is symbolizing plenty and wealth.

Odin is characterized by real wisdom. To get it, he hanged himself to the three for nine days, gored by a spear. Because of that, he learned eighteen magic songs and twenty-four runes. After that, he sacrificed one eye by giving it to Mimir in exchange for drinking from his well of wisdom. That's all for todays post, bye!

Riverdale (s01) - review

Hello! Today I want to present to you Riverdale, but I'm going to describe only the first season, because I think that other parts aren't worth to watch and they lost their potential. This season is about the murder case of a teenager, which his friends and sister want to solve. By the time, the story takes more threads and engages a viewer very much. I reckon this series is rather for teenagers, but everyone has their own taste!

(In order) Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) is the sister of the murdered boy, she has a specific character, not everybody will like her. She's a little bit superior and very daring. Next person is Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) and she is quite bright, serious and sensitive. Third character is Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), she likes risk and that's why she's usually in trouble, but she's also disposing of them really quickly. Another hero in this story is Archie Andrews  (K.J Apa), he's a brave young man, at the beginning he loves music, but by the time he forgets about it. Next is Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) he's rather an artistic soul, quite sensitive, but also intelligent. The last person is Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray) and she has her own girls-band, she's nice and helpful.

This part of the series is the best for me, I've had a great time watching it. The idea is very interesting and well created. I can recommend it for you if you're looking for something light and in teen-drama style. I hope you liked this post, bye for now!

'Regulators' and 'Blaze'

Wentworth, Ohio - a typical American city, calm and dreamy, where everyone knows one another and each day is like the previous one. One afternoon the friendly atmosphere is distorted by the arrival of a van from which someone starts shooting. Mysterious psychopaths drive across the street of the community several times on their murderous route. The survivors hide at homes, waiting for rescue. Several hours later the police and ambulances still fail to show up, and the Poplar street seems to be entirely separated from the world. Can an autistic boy, his aunt and an aging writer face the Regulators and save Wentworth?

In 2006, during a press conference in London, King declared that he had found another novel by Bachman, entitled 'Blaze'. It was published on 12 June 2007 in Great Britain and in the USA. The typescript had been found at Maine University. King had changed the content of the book from 1973, adjusting it to contemporary world. 

A gloomy criminal novel which surprises with humor and melancholy. Over 2 meters tall and weighing 130 kg Clay Blaisdell is one not very bright bastard. His problems with thinking started in early childhood, when he was thrown down the stairs by his father. As a teenager, Blaze escapes from a child care home and meets George, who introduces him into hundreds of frauds and one master plan: kidnapping a child of rich parents. There is only one problem: George dies. But does he for sure? How then is he able to still assist his partner in completing his mad plan? Blaze is on the run in an incredible blizzard, and the police is right behind him. He holds the child hostage, and the crime of the century turns into a race against time in the white hell of the woods of Maine... 

'The Running Man' and 'Thinner'

Appalling vision of America, where murder has been practically legalized by the government.  There is a clear division into two social classes - the poor and the rich.   Entertainment is provided in the form of numerous quizzes and games. A game called The Running Man, where the participant has the chance of winning billion new dollars - all they have to do is deceive a pursuit of The Hunters for 30 days.

 For Ben Richards participating in the Free Vee is the only chance to get money for saving his 18-months-old daughter. He passes the tests and starts the game. His life turns into a nightmare.  How to win when the entire world is looking for you?

'Thinner', published in 1984

Billy Halleck is a popular advocate who makes more money with each case. He has a comfortable house and a loving family. The only thing that bothers him is grave obesity putting him in risk of heart failure. One day, on his way back from a sumptuous dinner, he hits and kills an old Gypsy woman. The case is held before court. An acquittal does not satisfy the father of the victim, who curse the advocate. Starting from now Billy loses weight at an intimidating pace. The weight loss process cannot be stopped. 

'The Long Walk' and 'Roadwork'

A dark vision of the future of the USA. The most popular reality show nationwide is The Long Walk. A hundred boys are selected to participate, who are supposed to walk non-stop from the moment the walk begins. The finishing line is where the last boy falls. There is no sportsmanship, emotions or fair play rules in this game.  Each slowdown below 6 km/h ends with a reproach, and after three reproaches the perpetrator is shot by soldiers. The main character is Ray Garraty, from whose perspective we watch successive stages of the murderous competition. 

'The Long Walk' comprises everything that later became the hallmark of Stephen King. A single-story plot, short sentences, lack of excessive description, vivid dialogues and constant feeling of terrifying dread. 

'Radworok', published in 1981

Bart Dawes thinks he has lost his life. He reaches the conclusion that his faith has always been dependent on a series of unfortunate coincidence and bad choices. Day by day he has to put up with stupidity and hypocrisy of his boss, each new day proves that he also failed in marriage. That is why when, upon the decision of the officials, the last things he'd lived for - a small laundry and a house - have been taken from him, he decides not to give up. He buys a gun and starts fighting for what is most important in life. 

Incredible descriptions and events make us get to know Bart's psyche and we try to understand his madness and reasons for behaving in such an illogical manner. 

'Rage'

In the 1970s and 1980, after his great success as an author of horror novels, King decided to publish his earlier works.  They were published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman, which refers to the pseudonym of American writer of Donald Westlake, Richard Stark, and to the name of his favorite band, Bachman - Turner Overdrive. Moreover, King wanted to see if he can be successful again. The fact that Bachman and King are the same person was disclosed in 1985. 

The first novel was 'Rage', published in 1977.

In the city of Placerville, Maine, a boy named Charles Decker - brings a gun to his high school, kills two teachers and holds the entire class hostage. He talk to them about their parents and several embarrassing situations from the past. In order to continue his story, he forces the students to make their own confessions. 

Many stories made up by fans are associated with this book. Supposedly it became and inspiration for several young people who brought to life events described in the novel. King decided to withdraw the book from sale and he claims that he regrets having ever published it.  In the USA 'Rage' has not been reprinted for several years.

Hi, Today I'll show you some extra simple desserts.

1.Watermelon granita

Ingredients:

• 1 small watermelon , (1.8kg) 
• 60 g stem ginger in syrup 
• 2 limes 
• half  a bunch of fresh mint , (15g) 
• 8 tablespoons natural yoghurt

2.Apple & date pie 

Ingredients:

PASTRY

• 140 g unsalted butter , (cold)
• 275 g plain flour , plus extra for dusting
• 1 lemon
• 1 large free-range egg yolk

FILLING

• 3 bramley apples
• 6 braeburn apples
• 5 medjool dates
• 4 tablespoons soft light muscovado sugar
• half teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 pinch of ground cloves

GLAZE

• 1 large free-range egg
