PAWEŁ ZAGUMNY

Polish volleyball player, quarterback, in the years 1996-2014 representative of the country.
Alumnus MKS MDK Warszawa, then AZS Warsaw University of Technology. Professional career began in 1995 in the Black Radom, where after two seasons went to the Sea of ​​Szczecin. In 2000 Zagumny went to Italy for three years to represent the colors of premier Edilbasso Padua. The 2003-2009 period is spent on game AZS Olsztyn. One year later he went abroad representing the colors of the Greek Panathinaikos. Since 2010 he was a player ZAKSY Kedzierzyn-Kozle. Since the season 2015/2016 he played for AZS Warsaw University of Technology.
 

It is the only Polish volleyball player who played in four Olympic tournaments (1996, 2004, 2008 and 2012). At the world championships in 2006 he won a silver medal with the national team, and also received the title of best quarterback of the event. Three years later at the European Championships with the national team won the European title and was awarded the title of best quarterback of the event. He also won a silver medal at the World Cup of 2011 and the gold medal of the World League 2012. At the 2014 World Cup with the national team won the world title, the first in 40 years in the Polish volleyball. After this tournament, he announced the completion of appearances for the Polish national team in which he performed 18 years.

Espadon Cup 2014

Memories..

I want to itroduce you my first tournament on the beach. It was in 2014 :)

The school principal allowed to organize the event. I was very happy, like my contemporaries.
On the beach has different game rules: Do not pierce the ball with your fingers behind the net, the team consists of three people and the line terminal pitch is shorter. Usually the game ends after 25 points, and every team at the start have 11.

 The tournament was for two days. On Friday, the team played girls and boys teams on Saturday. Each team played at their level (for example, a team of first-class high school playing with their peers, the other with second class) I'm on his team had teammates school so well we played. We won the third place :)

 Saturday during the tournament for the boys, me and my friends bravely we helped as volunteers. We were judges, we helped clean and in return we had hot tea and cookies :)

The coach was very pleased with us. We were then in the first year of junior high, and the third place is a fantastic start to our small volleyball career. 

the tournament could not be repeated in the following years, unfortunately. Playing on the beach is difficult but worth it to experience it. At least fall to the sand is less painful than the hall :)

 During the event, they visited our volleyball players KS ESPADON SZCZECIN and CHEMIK POLICE . They signed us on T-shirts, and played an exhibition match !
