PAWEŁ ZAGUMNY

Polish volleyball player, quarterback, in the years 1996-2014 representative of the country.
Alumnus MKS MDK Warszawa, then AZS Warsaw University of Technology. Professional career began in 1995 in the Black Radom, where after two seasons went to the Sea of ​​Szczecin. In 2000 Zagumny went to Italy for three years to represent the colors of premier Edilbasso Padua. The 2003-2009 period is spent on game AZS Olsztyn. One year later he went abroad representing the colors of the Greek Panathinaikos. Since 2010 he was a player ZAKSY Kedzierzyn-Kozle. Since the season 2015/2016 he played for AZS Warsaw University of Technology.
 

It is the only Polish volleyball player who played in four Olympic tournaments (1996, 2004, 2008 and 2012). At the world championships in 2006 he won a silver medal with the national team, and also received the title of best quarterback of the event. Three years later at the European Championships with the national team won the European title and was awarded the title of best quarterback of the event. He also won a silver medal at the World Cup of 2011 and the gold medal of the World League 2012. At the 2014 World Cup with the national team won the world title, the first in 40 years in the Polish volleyball. After this tournament, he announced the completion of appearances for the Polish national team in which he performed 18 years.

Facundo Conte ♥

Hi !

I want to introduce you Facundo Conte - He is famous among teens...because he is very handsome *___*

nickname : Facu

height: 198 cm (he's quite short!)

weight: 85 kg

Argentine volleyball player, representative of Argentina, playing for the host. Since the season 2016/2017 occurs in the Chinese team Shanghai Fudan University. 

For three years playing in Poland, worked together with Skra Bełchatów 1st, 3rd, 3rd place in the national championship, won the Super Cup (2014) and Cup (2016) Polish. In the Champions League 2014/15 took 4th place.

 He is the son of Argentine volleyball player, bronze medalist of the Olympic Games 1988 in Seoul - Hugo Conte, former Argentine volleyball player and representative of the country, and now coach of volleyball. He has performed at the receiving position. His biggest success is the elegant bronze medal won in 1988, in Seoul. Fighting career ended in 2007. In 2011, he was honored with membership in the Volleyball Hall of Fame.

GKS Katowice

Hello:)
GKS Katowice? This club is not popular. But it's very good in game. I had the pleasure to watch the match with this club. 

The coach is Przemysław Halapacz. His first match team played Feb. 12, 2011, losing 1: 3 with UKS metallic Radziechowy, but the 2010/2011 season ended with promotion to the third division. In the 2011/2012 season he took 5th place and a year later won the championship at this level in the Silesian group, not losing a single match. As a result, the team was able to play for promotion to the central level. Second place in the semi-final of the tournament in Sanok and the same position in the final tournament in Wilczyn, resulted in the play-offs relegated to the second league (Bielawianka Bielawa), which ended favorably for the rival (0: 3 and 3: 2). After the season 2012/2013 the authorities of the Polish Volleyball Federation decided to expand the second division of the two groups, so the blacks gained promotion to this class in the season 2013/2014. The following season, Black won the final tournament in Katowice and promoted to the first division.

Before the start of the season 2015/2016 the club signed a użyczeniu name GKS Katowice for Section volleyball men, which ultimately is to form a joint stock company GKS.

 GKS Katowice always have loyal fans. Nobody saves power in the shouts of joy for each action winning in the game. I think the most they deserve it. They play really amazing and it is worth to learn from them. You have to be concentrated to the end of the game.

I want to introduce you the super trio in polish representation. Well, they are not very fame, but they are good in play volleyball. 

1. Damian Wojtaszek

 playing the libero position in the Polish club Asseco Resovia. Polish representative.

In 31 March ,2011, he was appointed to a broad national team by coach Anastasi. He made his debut 30 August 2013  in the friendly against Serbia. Shortly afterwards he was called up for the European Championships. The Polish national team played 10 matches.

He born 7 October 1998 in Milicz. He is 180 cm height. He is very small volleyball-player ;)

2. Wojciech Ferens 

volleyball player, representative of the country cadets and juniors, Polish junior champion in 2010. Graduate of the Radom Jadaru, then black player Radom. Graduate SMS-u in Spala.
Volleyball began training in high school in Wolanowie. At the tournament in Radom newspaper, Echo Day, she saw him coach Krzysztof Jaskulski and asked him to play in the team of cadets Jadaru. In 2007 he started playing in Radom club. After he became a student of the School of Sports Championship in Spala. In the meantime, he represented the country in the category of cadets. With representation won, among others, 4th place at the European Championships in Rotterdam (2009) and gold at European Youth Olympic Festival. In 2010, the Black Radom reached for the title Polish Junior. In May 2010, he signed a contract with AZS UWM Olsztyn, occurring in PlusLidze. In the 2013/2014 season the team played in Kedzierzyn-Kozle. 2014/2015 season spent on loan to the club BBTS Bielsko-Biala. Since the season 2015/2016 occurs in the team Bydgoszcz Archer. The senior Polish national team played 16 matches.

3. Mateusz Bieniek 

Since the season 2016/2017 occurs in the club ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle.

April 2, 2015, he received the player Stephane Antiga debut calling for a wide representation of senior Polish representative for the season 2015. Previously, he played in the frame B, among others, in the Europa League in 2014.

Debut in the national team was May 28, 2015 in a win over Russia (3: 0) in phase of the World League intercontinental classifying a full match, scoring 14 points and at the same statuette best player of the match

The Polish national team played 39 matches (as of 01.10.2016 r.)

19 April 2016 manager rider Jakub Michalak, reported that Bieniek has signed a preliminary agreement with ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle.

The man,who invented volleyball

WILLIAM GEORGE MORGAN 

He was born 20.01.1870 in Lockport (New York).

William graduated from high school in 1891 at the Mount Hermon School in Northfield, Massachusetts.

He met James Naismith who urged him to attend the International YMCA Training School and play football.

Morgan signed on at the International Young Men’s Christian Association Training School now Springfield College located in Springfield, Massachusetts.

In 1887, the college had added a Physical (i.e. physical education) department.

Springfield College is most famous as the site where the sport of basketball was invented by James Naismith in 1891. He went on to graduate from the physical education program in 1894.

On February 9, 1895, Morgan invented the game he called “Mintonette.”

Mintonette was a less vigorous team sport more suitable for older members of the YMCA, yet still required athletic skill.

Morgan’s took some of his new games characteristics from tennis and handball.

Morgan’s first Mintonette rules called for a net 6 ft 6 in high, a 25×50 ft court, and any number of players.

A Mintonette match was composed of nine innings with three serves for each team in each inning, and no limit to the number of ball contacts for each team before sending the ball back over the net to the opponents’ court.

In case of a serving error, a second try was allowed. Hitting the ball into the net was considered a foul (with loss of the point or a side-out) except in the case of the first-try serve.

Soon Luther Gulick, the founder of the Physical Education Department at the YMCA Training School (Springfield College), heard of Morgan’s new sport and invited him to demonstrate his new game.

Morgan agreed and demonstrated Mintonette to students of Springfield College sometime in 1896.

While watching the game, Dr. Alfred Halstead suggested to Morgan that he called it volleyball, since the point of the game is to “volley” the “ball” back and forth over the net.

Ever since, Morgan’s new game quickly spread around the country as “volley ball.” Morgan originally spelled volley ball as two words.

In 1897, Morgan left the Holyoke YMCA to begin a career with General Electric and Westinghouse.

Today the Morgan Trophy Award is presented annually to the most outstanding male and female collegiate volleyball player in the United States. Established by the William G. Morgan Foundation in 1995 during the centennial year of volleyball, the trophy is named in honor of William Morgan.

SKRA BELCHATOW

Hello !

Today, I want to introduce you short history -  SKRA BELCHATOW - Polish men's volleyball team based in Belchatow and had three team name.

 

Why 'KPS SKRA BELCHATOW' ?

 

The first name :

RKS SKRA

was founded in 1930, and in the first period of its activity leading section was football. In 1957 he created the section volleyball men. In 1977, he separated from the club section football and was included in the KWB Belchatow, and in 1991 the club took patronage Power Station.

 

The second name:

EKS SKRA

Intensive development of the men's volleyball in Belchatow was launched in 1991, taking over sections of the Belchatow Power Plant. Created the club called EKS - Skra, which already in 1994, was promoted to the second league, and in 1997 the league of Series B. In 1999 achieved promotion to the first division of Series A, but after the team fell to the Series B. After the annual game this level the team was promoted to the newly created Polish Volleyball League.
In the 2001/2002 season Belchatow won the bronze medal by defeating Polish in three games Jastrzebski Coal. In the 2002/2003 season they took sixth place in the league. Also eliminated in the second round of the CEV Cup, losing two matches against Lokomotiv Ekaterinburg. In the 2003/2004 season Skra took fourth place in the league after losing five matches in the competition for the bronze medal with AZS Czestochowa. Also lost in the Polish Cup final (which took place in Bełchatów) of KP Energy Poland Sosnowiec 1: 3 (14:25, 25:20, 20:25, 20:25), which have authorized it to a third consecutive participation in European cups - CEV Cup. volleyball season 2016

Hi everybody !

So, it's 2016, no 2015... oh my god, the time is very fast!

2016 is year of Olymphic Games.
The 2016 Olympic Games in Rio will be held this summer. The event will from 5th to 21st August and will take part in them more than ten thousand athletes from 206 National Olympic Committees. There will also be representatives of the Polish - including our valiant volleyball. Soon,there will be qualifiers Polish national team volleyball - female and male.

That's fantastic information!

 

 

We played four matchs in Eliminations in Group.
Our trainer, Stephane Antiga has reported,who will play in team.

Eliminations are underway from 7th January.

We was in group A and we played with three countries : Belgium, Serbia and Germany.

The decisive match, we won with France. This match showed, which team goes stage of Elimination and go to semi-final.

Bartosz Kurek

Hi!

This is Bartosz Kurek. He is a volleyball-player in polish represenation. His nickname is 'Kuraś' . He born 29.08.1988 in Wałbrzych. He is a champion of Europe since 2009 . He is the son of former volleyball player Adam Kurek.He born in Walbrzych, but grew up in Nysa, where his father in the mid-90s enjoyed success with the local club 'Stal'. The first contact with the retina was 8 years old, but in addition to the retina in his youth also coached basketball. In the third year of primary school she moved to Class Profile of volleyball.

His height : 207 cm

His weight : 107 kg

His the biggest jump : 375 cm !

KS Espadon Szczecin

Hello !

Today, I want to show you our club in Szczecin.

'ESPADON'

This is a club for men. Is a continuation of three clubs : 'Morze Bałtyk Szczecin' ,'Stal Stocznia' and KS Morze'.

This club was started in 2014 with a polish representative of volleyball , Jakub Markiewicz.

Now, Espadon is playing in the first league. That's very good !

The trainer of Espadon is Dejan Brđović. He is a very demanding, but that's good for volleyball-players.

Curiosity :

My trainer is playing in this volleyball club ! I'm a full of admiration :)

My Tournaments

Hi :)

Well, today I want to tell you about my tournaments.

In October, I started game a tournaments of junior high school. This is a rivarly all junior high schools in Szczecin. Rivarly is not easy,but we give advice. 

Schools are split of two groups : group A and group B . Selection of schools is random.

My school team is in group B. 

Now, I with my team won four matchs and one we lost. That's good ! 

Four matchs still we are play in next Monday and in December.

What is our defect? Well, this is a cheering. We can't cheering very good, because we don't training it. 

I'm a captain in my team. So, this is a very responsible job. I must be 'the second-trainer'. Despite my stress, I must be a motivation to my volleyball-players,give tips and at the same time remember ,what does the trainer say to me.

I hope, I'm a good captain... :D

Volleyball primarily relies on cooperation.
