South Korea (oficially the Republic of Korea) is a sovereign state in East Asia, constituting the southern part of the Korean Peninsula. South Korea is also known as a "Land of Morning Calm" because this country is endowed with spellbinding natural beauty and its splendid tranquillity, particularly in the morning. "Aegukga" (Patriotic Song, literally "loving country song") is the national anthem of South Korea. The popuation of this country is about 50 million people. South Korea is famous for its fascination with technology. The country uses robots for both classroom tutors and prison guards. Robots are not just a novelty; in Korea they are a way of life.
