"The Giver"

author: Lois Lowry
literary genre: soft science fiction, dystopian novel
how much I recommend this book: 7/10

"The worst part of holding the memories is not the pain. It's the loneliness of it. Memories need to be shared"

Can you imagine a world without memories? Without feelings? Without colors...? The world, where people can't make any decisions and everything is perfectly ordered? A world, where everyone thinks the same? Or rather, almost everyone... except for one boy. Jonasz is diffrent. He sees the things that others can't see, but he doesn't understand what they mean. Only with the  help of an old man called The Giver, he starts  realising, that nothing is like it seems. Is it possible to fix world and restore colors and emotions? Or is it to late...?
A very interesting vision of future. Probably not everyone will like it, but in my opinion everyone should read it and take a moment to think how scary our world would be without differences and emotions.
I great and encourage you all to read.

See you in next post!
