Today I write about feast which is celebratied in Konya - Mevlana Festival. It's celebrated in honour of Rumi, who deceased in 13th century, the founder of the Mevlevi Oreder. He thought that dance linked with God.
Dance of Whirling Dervishes consists of revolving on one's axis through an hour and praying to Allah at the same time. Festival is held every year and it's more cultural than religous . It is a series of performances in characteristic, long, white costumes. At the end of festival they is a wedding of founder with Allah.
I hope that one day I'll see it.
